00:00Of course, now it's getting more complex.
00:03I've communicated with leaders in Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Turkey, and also Iran.
00:18First, Malaysia, thanks to the parliament bipartisan support,
00:24all members of parliament, to condemn the attack against Iran,
00:30to express our condolence to the demise of Imam Khamenei and his family.
00:40But in the second round of discussions with the leaders, we also expressed concern.
00:47Because whilst the perpetrators of Israel and Saudi Arabia,
00:52the impact is now throughout the Muslim world, particularly the Middle East and Turkey and Azerbaijan.
01:01So in my communications with the second round with the foreign minister of Iran,
01:06I did express, and of course I'm appreciative of the fact that they have given categorical assurance
01:12that it must not lead to skirmishes and battle among Muslim countries.
01:21It's a difficult, complex situation.
01:24I can always understand that when a country has to face this sort of sheer display of arrogance,
01:39I should say even neo-imperialistic design,
01:42it's difficult to ask them to just contain.
01:45And now, because the protracted warfare,
01:54the continuous attack about bad men,
01:57we have these ramifications throughout the world.
02:03I was in Sabah last night.
02:05We have to help them, but many of them are still poor.
02:09We give them diesel subsidy.
02:12And for Sabah and Sarawak, due to this increase,
02:16the federal government has to increase
02:184.6 billion ringgit additional subsidy for Sabah and Sarawak.
02:26Petroleum cost of now, Budi 95, 199 is about the lowest in the world.
02:38Only Brunei Darussalam has a slightly lower price than us.
02:43I did it last year because I thought as,
02:48you know, together with my colleagues,
02:50as leading the government,
02:52I want to do whatever is possible
02:54to reduce the burden of our people.
03:00But now, we are faced with this calamity
03:04and the ramifications this year.
03:06It's costing us additional subsidy
03:10of 2 billion ringgit a month
03:14now that we maintain the price.
03:17And inshaAllah, make doa and pray,
03:20we try and maintain the price.
03:22At the cost of 2 billion ringgit a month
03:25with the price now,
03:28if it further increases,
03:29then naturally, it will cost more.
03:33It means 24 billion ringgit additional
03:36one year.
03:40Well, I can understand some of my colleagues
03:42in the opposition
03:43and some of the social media
03:46still abuse us for this
03:50because we give the implications
03:52and the problem.
03:53But that's the reality.
03:56We have the sufferings of our brothers and sisters,
03:59not only in Iran,
04:00all these countries.
04:02We have calamity befallen us,
04:06the whole region,
04:07particularly affecting the poor.
04:10And still,
04:12we have some desperate elements,
04:18irresponsible,
04:20exploiting the case
04:21and using it as a political weapon
04:23to weaponize,
04:25to attack.
04:26We should now learn
04:28that without unity,
04:30working together,
04:32we will never be able
04:33to sustain
04:34either the peace
04:36nor the prosperity.
