00:07Even though all cars have a carbon footprint, the car industry wasn't so open.
00:12We didn't like that.
00:14We wanted to be clear about the impact of our cars.
00:18Otherwise, how would anybody know?
00:20So from the start, our answer's been to tell you everything.
00:24Okay, not everything, because there's stuff you already know.
00:26You know that electric cars have no tailpipe emissions, and that an electric car's biggest
00:33environmental impact comes from the way it's made, not how it's used.
00:38Our mission is to measure, follow up, and work continuously to reduce that impact.
00:43We map and share emissions data, from the extraction of raw materials to measuring how steel, aluminium,
00:49and battery materials are refined and transported.
00:52We track manufacturing processes all the way down to the chemicals and paints and adhesives.
00:58We monitor the energy sources and consumption of factories and suppliers.
01:03We continue to calculate the impact from when the car leaves the factory, to the end of
01:08its life, right down to the impact of changing the rubber on a single windscreen wiper.
01:13We publish all information in a lifecycle assessment.
01:18Every Polestar has one.
01:20Anyone can read it.
01:23We know each car's climate impact, and we know how to keep reducing it.
01:27But most importantly, so do you.
