00:00Hi, my name is David Michael Cray, and today I have a poem for you that I wrote called
00:04The Truth from the Lies.
00:06It goes like this.
00:09There is a man walking around that tries to hide his heart from God's eyes.
00:14He says he'd rather be free, but he does not realize that the chains that bind him are
00:20stronger than steel.
00:21The freedom he claims to have isn't even real.
00:25He blames his loneliness on others' mistakes, but looks down on every hand that he shakes.
00:32What's lost can be found he'll realize someday, and find forgiveness is really the way.
00:38There's always a problem in his clouded eyes, and all that he thinks of is sad goodbyes.
00:45He thinks that's what life will always be.
00:48He loses the good life so that he can be free.
00:52In many ways, we are all the same.
00:55It's just different ways we play the same game.
00:58He acts like he has figured it out, but we all go through our troubles and doubt.
01:03But give him time, and he'll realize only God can help him sort the truth from the lies.
