00:00Hi, my name is David Michael Cray, also known as Crayfish, and today I have a poem for you
00:05that I wrote called The Lullabies.
00:07This is also a song that I wrote.
00:09It goes like this.
00:11Did I seem to be a mystery with my mixed up, messed up history?
00:16Did I make it hard to understand how to fix me, bless me, how to play your hand?
00:21I never wanted to hurt anybody.
00:24I never wanted to hurt anyone.
00:26Did you have a hard time in yesteryears to show another brother all your tears?
00:31Did you find a way to lend a hand to show another brother you understand?
00:36Well, I know you never really wanted to hurt anybody.
00:39I know you never really wanted to hurt anyone.
00:43Did we forget all the love we had?
00:46Did it seem like our love had gone bad?
00:48Did we lose track of the dreams we dreamed?
00:51Did it take back some of the love that seemed?
00:55Living twists us, it makes us cuss some, it makes it seem like we hate each other.
01:01But giving lifts us, though we might fuss some, it makes it a dream, because we hate to smother
01:07the loving highs, the lullabies.
01:10Did God make a little love today?
01:14This poem is going to be in a full-length Poetry and Lyric book that I will be publishing soon.
