Taiwan Out of AFC Women’s Asia Cup After Loss to China

Team Taiwan, playing as Chinese Taipei, has lost to China 0-2 at the AFC Women’s Asia Cup quarterfinal. They will play against North Korea in the next match to secure a spot at the Women’s World Cup. Fans say the crowd was chanting “Team Taiwan” at some points of the game, despite a ban on any mention of the name "Taiwan" during the competition.
