00:00On the final day of the Global Baku Forum, a panel on how to reset the international
00:04system.
00:06And many here are saying it's about time.
00:07Like two former leaders of what used to be the Balkan tinderbox criticizing the U.S.-Israeli
00:13war against Iran, the former president of Serbia slamming what he calls the wild side
00:19of history.
00:19Iranian war is triggering a new crisis after Ukraine, involving the second big power in
00:27the war.
00:28Right now, they can criticize each other, Russia, United States, United States, Russia,
00:33because of dismantling international law, but can make big problems and a crisis in all
00:40regional countries.
00:42Even Azerbaijan can be affected very much.
00:44A democratic opposition leader against the Milosevic regime, Tadic criticizes the U.S.-led
00:51bombings of Serbia during the Kosovo War and other actions today.
00:55When big powers are trying to conquer parts of other sovereign countries or intervening
01:02like this, capturing presidents of other countries or killing presidents of other countries at
01:08the member states of the United Nations, this is a disaster situation.
01:11So what's the solution?
01:13Tadic says no way out without a U.N.-led reset.
01:16The White House and Donald Trump, they are failing, underestimating Iran.
01:20They cannot finish that conflict within a few weeks.
01:25This is not possible.
01:26This is not a likelihood solution of the current conflict.
01:30I think that we need interlocutors right now.
01:33We are bringing to the wild side of the history, and we have to come back to the international
01:39law.
01:40And this is the only solution we can have.
01:43We have to enhance the authority of the United Nations, multilateral institutions.
01:47And the former president of Croatia, who led his country to EU membership in 2013, fears
01:53a downward global spiral without a diplomatic solution.
01:57Things like oil, energy, like food.
02:01There are many, many people who are escaping, who are trying to escape from the war.
02:07It causes another problem.
02:09And it's a very, very huge humanitarian problem as well.
02:13That's why he even fears a third world war.
02:16This type of wars tend to generate new wars, especially when superpowers are interested
02:22in development, like Russia, like China and the others.
02:25So I'm really afraid that the possible scenario is also the world war.
02:31That's all for now as the Global Baku Forum wraps up with a war on its doorstep.
