00:00As-salamu alaykum. Let me ask you something real. What if this Ramadan is your last one?
00:07Not trying to be dramatic, just honest. Every year we say, this Ramadan will be different.
00:15Every year we start strong, and somehow we slow down. We scroll more, we sleep more,
00:22we delay prayers, and then it's over. But what if this year you actually level up?
00:30What if this Ramadan changes you for real? Allah says in the Quran,
00:37O you who believe, fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you,
00:43so that you may become righteous. Surah Al-Baqarah 2, 183.
00:49Notice something powerful here. Ramadan is not about hunger, it's about transformation.
00:57So let's break this down the right way. 1. If you want to avoid sin, start with awareness.
01:05Here's the truth. Most sins don't happen randomly, they start small. A look, a comment,
01:13just this once. And then it snowballs. If you really want to protect yourself this Ramadan,
01:21start with three things. Guard your tongue. Gossip? Cut it. Sarcasm that hurts people? Cut it.
01:29Lying just a little? Cut it. The Prophet said, whoever believes in Allah and the last day,
01:37let him speak good or remain silent. Bukhati and Muslim. In America especially, trash talk is
01:46normalized. Clapbacks are celebrated. Roasting is funny. But every word is recorded. Imagine getting
01:54reward just for staying silent when you could have said something toxic. That's discipline. That's
02:01strength. Lower your gaze. We live in a hyper-visual culture. Everything is in your face. Ads,
02:10social media, suggestive content. Allah says, tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard
02:18their modesty. Surah En-Nur 24, 30. Lowering your gaze isn't weakness, it's control. And control builds
02:29character. Every time you scroll past something inappropriate instead of staring, you just scored
02:36spiritually. That's how you win Ramadan. Fix your intention. This one is huge. The Prophet said,
02:46actions are judged by intentions. Bukhati and Muslim. You can fast and get hungry, or you can fast and get
02:54rewarded. Same action, different intention. Before every prayer, every fast, every charity,
03:02pause and say in your heart, Ya Allah, I'm doing this for you. That one second could multiply everything.
03:122. Don't just pray. Upgrade your Salah. Let's be honest. A lot of us pray fast, like we're checking
03:20off a task. But Salah is not a task, it's a meeting. The Prophet said, the closest a servant is
03:28to his
03:29Lord is while in sujud, Muslim. Think about that. When your forehead is on the ground, you are at your
03:37highest spiritually. Slow down your sujud. Actually talk to Allah there. Ask him for things you'd never
03:45tell anyone else. That's where connection happens. Pray on time, not when it's convenient. We schedule
03:53meetings, we schedule gym sessions, we schedule work. But prayer? Sometimes it's a, I'll get to it.
04:01Ramadan is the perfect reset. When the azan comes in, move. Treat it like priority number one. Because
04:09honestly, it is. Make your nights count. The Prophet said, whoever prays at night in Ramadan with faith
04:18and seeking reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. Bukhari and Muslim. Forgiven. Not reduced,
04:26not minimized. Forgiven. That should scare us. When you're fasting, control your reactions,
04:33control your tone, control your ego. That's real fasting. And remember this powerful hadith.
04:42The fasting person has two joys, one at the time of breaking the fast and one when he meets his
04:49Lord,
04:50Bukhari and Muslim. That second joy, that's the one that matters forever.
04:563. Fast with your heart, not just your stomach. Let's be real. Anyone can skip food for 14 hours.
05:05But can you skip anger? Can you skip arrogance? Can you skip arguing? The Prophet warned that some
05:12people get nothing from their fast except hunger. That should scare us. When you're fasting, control
05:20your reactions, control your tone, control your ego. That's real fasting. And remember this powerful
05:28hadith. The fasting person has two joys, one at the time of breaking the fast and one when he meets
05:36his
05:36Lord, Bukhari and Muslim. That second joy, that's the one that matters forever.
05:434. Stack good deeds like it's your last chance. Ramadan is a multiplier. One good deed,
05:51multiplied. One dollar in charity, multiplied. One sincere dua, multiplied. The Prophet was the most
05:59generous in Ramadan. So give something, even if it's small, even if it's daily, because consistency
06:07beats intensity. 2. Read Quran, even if it's 10 minutes. Allah says, the month of Ramadan is that
06:17in which the Quran was revealed. Surah Al-Baqarah, 2, 185. Read a page a day, 10 minutes a day,
06:26but don't let
06:26the day pass without it. Your heart needs that reminder. 3. Make dua like you mean it. Ramadan nights are
06:35special. Doors are open. Mercy is descending. Don't make lazy dua. Be specific. Cry if you can. Beg.
06:45Because you're talking to the one who controls everything. 4. Build a simple, realistic Ramadan
06:52routine. Don't over plan and burn out. Keep it simple. Pray all five on time. Read at least one page
07:01of Quran daily. Give charity weekly. Make vicar while driving or walking. Pray some night prayer,
07:09even two rakahs. Small steps, massive impact. Ramadan is not guaranteed next year. We've all seen people
07:18who were here last year and gone now. This month is your reset button. So don't waste it scrolling,
07:25don't waste it arguing, don't waste it sleeping through it. Protect your tongue, guard your eyes,
07:32fix your intention, upgrade your salah, fast with your heart, stack your good deeds. And imagine
07:40standing before Allah knowing you gave this Ramadan your absolute best. That feeling, that's worth
07:47everything. If this message hit you, share it with someone who needs a reset this Ramadan. May Allah
07:54allow us to reach Ramadan, benefit from it, and leave it forgiven. Ameen. As-salamu alaykum.
