01:07in the fallout lore i mean were you familiar with the the game franchise and how did you approach
01:13working on on the character of robert house which is so important in the in the new vegas title
01:19it was uh i had played the game years ago um and i don't think i played new vegas but
01:26i think i'd
01:27played the original game just a little bit but i well it wasn't something that was sort of burned
01:31onto my consciousness um and then when i got the part i did do i did watch a lot of
01:36sort of youtube
01:36of sort of the gameplay particularly around mr house um just to sort of get the tone of it and
01:42and sort of trying to understand that and then the real uh gift came when i got the scripts and
01:48saw
01:48how beautifully realized they were and how sweated over they were um and and got to just sort of um
01:55i don't know it was a very easy world to step into a because i got to work with my
02:01good friend walton
02:01um and was very very very much looking forward to that um in the same way that it's just great
02:09to go
02:10out with a good friend and have a couple drinks um but so that was very enjoyable and then look
02:17these sets these costumes these everything is so beautifully realized every corner of the room is
02:23in four dimensions and you know everything is practical and there and so you know that 20 or 80
02:31percent of your brain that is having to imagine stuff is you don't have to use that part of your
02:35brain because it's all just right there in front of you um and so you know it was kind of
02:42just like
02:42stepping into a little dream and and then stepping out of it at the end of the day um and
02:47it was beautiful
02:47it there was i really didn't it's not to say the days are hard always because you they're long days
02:54yeah but it was one of those days where sort of from an acting perspective it was kind of like
03:00going to the gym you know you left every day feeling better than you went in you're glad you
03:05did it you know so so and this one is for the both of you since that fallout is based
03:11on a video game
03:11and video game often have glitches what's the strangest the strangest glitch like behavior that
03:18you have in real life i mean walton i've seen the architectural digest episode at your house house and
03:23i've seen that you have like something with dimmable lights is is it right
03:27did i have something with what with with dimmable lights yeah yeah i i'm it's crazy my obsession with
03:36uh lights that dim that and uh and just generally cleaning you know i'm like i'm i'm a clean freak
03:44and uh and just constantly moving things around in my house like on a like on a table i just

03:51constantly kind of moving a pillow or adjusting things and that's and i glitch i glitch out like
03:57in that way i think i'm very similar to walton i'm very i'm obsessive about i've been to his house
04:04cleanliness and lighting like lighting is key to me like i mean i don't know how y'all do it
04:09in europe
04:09right here with all these led lights and and and whatever i i really love an old school incandescent
04:15bulb and i and if if a place that you're in doesn't have a lighting vibe you're fucked um and
04:21then i got a million kind of little ocd ticks that i won't bore you with but i i'm uh
04:25very obsessive
04:28uh in a sort of we're we're similar in a lot we're both wearing tom brown suits yeah how about

04:34what does that we like a nice well-structured suit that binds us we only spawn in and wearing tom

04:41yeah okay and i don't know maybe also your other friend sam rockwell is like uh have something
04:50like this this ocd brick to our frack i guess he's hilarious yeah yeah yeah he's a you know he's

04:56of just his best friends too and uh and so yeah he's hilarious he's his own he's his own kettle

05:31you've got to be very careful about when you release this but one of one of my favorite moments
05:38early on in this whole experience is when uh we get to a specific part of the story and something

05:48being discovered and they open this what looks like a refrigerator and out falls an alien and
05:57and everybody around is like look at this refrigeration
06:05no comment on it at all uh i don't know man you know i you know i've never had this

06:11really with anybody but my kid you know i i i don't i don't know where i net out on
06:17any of it
06:18who am i to say that that someone didn't see that is there an explanation for everything or is
06:25i don't i don't know i i can't i don't know i know there's this new documentary out about aliens
06:30um and i still can't quite wrap my head around we're also so surrounded by conspiracy theories
06:36and fucking cockamamie stuff yeah so i you know i i don't know how to net out on that i'd
06:41have to
06:42see some of my own proof or whatever but it is kind of one of those riddles within a riddle
06:46within an enigma within a puzzle i don't know like show me show me the little green guy i just

06:59then there will be aliens if there if there's whatever that whatever that is it's going to be
07:05the next uh you know something that we will all experience i i i try not to spend my time
