00:00Iran claimed that US-Israeli strikes had no impact on its military capabilities.
00:05But is this true?
00:09Bombings in our capital have no impact on our ability to conduct war.
00:14That's what Iran's Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Arachi claimed on the 1st of March.
00:19The day before, US-Israeli strikes killed some 40 Iranian leaders, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
00:25Arachi said that US interventions in neighbouring countries had informed Iran's decentralised mosaic strategy.
00:32But how effective is it?
00:33This military doctrine was introduced in the mid-2000s after the Iranian regime studied the US invasions of Iraq and
00:40Afghanistan,
00:41opting for a decentralised system to avoid a similar rapid regime collapse.
00:46Rather than reinforcing centralised control, Tehran deliberately chose to defuse authority across territories and institutions.
00:55Over the course of its campaign in Iran, the US-Israeli coalition has struck a significant number of strategic Iranian
01:01targets,
01:02from naval bases to ships and aerial installations, launching thousands of munitions in the first days of the war.
01:08Although Iran's contingency plans helped it to launch retaliatory attacks against Israel and the Gulf states,
01:14even in the face of senior leadership decapitations, its missile attacks are decreasing and its military capabilities appear to be
01:21slowing.
01:21While the highest concentration of ballistic missile launches occurred in the first 48 hours,
01:29the number of ballistic missile launches has dropped sharply, partially due to the destruction of launches,
01:35partially due to the operational limits imposed by US-Israeli superiority.
01:39Without missile launchers, Tehran cannot launch its ballistic arsenal.
01:43There are differing figures, but according to Israeli authorities,
01:47as of 6 March, around 60% of Iran's missile launchers had been destroyed.
01:51It remains to be seen how this will impact the ongoing war.
