00:00Hop to it! Johnny's jump all over PC behind former Friar to start turning defense in style.
00:06Wait, a St. John's win over Providence in the first round is back page worthy?
00:12Let me stop. You know what? Because congratulations guys, a win is a win.
00:16You get a chance to survive in advance.
00:19And Bryce Hopkins got his get back against his former team.
00:23So I'll stop being a hater now because defense goes far in March and April in college basketball.
00:30Let me explain. Good defense gives a team a chance to survive, but elite defense is the reason teams advance.
00:38And I don't care if it's the Big East Tournament or even the Big Dance.
00:42Elite defense is what's going to have to have drive Rick Pitino's 2026 Red Storm.
00:49Now, I think there's more pressure on St. John's to win the Big East Tournament than it is for UConn.
00:56But before we even talk about the championship game, the Johnny's defense is going to have to be on full
01:01display against a Seton Hall team
01:03that needs big wins and upsets to sneak into the Big Dance.
