05:07to leave in terms of storytelling
05:09and approach to sci-fi stories

05:15we
05:17so much of the focus
05:18on the show when we were asked about it
05:20is on nostalgia
05:22which is certainly true but a lot of it is
05:24less nostalgic for the movies
05:26themselves than
05:27well it's nostalgic for the style of storytelling
05:30that we grew up watching
05:31and there was a certain earnestness to
05:34the films of
05:36of the 80s
05:37and
05:38and a certain optimism
05:40specifically in the
05:41films of Spielberg
05:42but also
05:43this
05:44stories of
05:45Stephen King
05:46and so many other movies
05:48and filmmakers as well
05:49and
05:50especially in television
05:51that had
05:52sort of fallen out of favor
05:53the anti-hero
05:55was
05:56really prevalent
05:58especially back in
05:592015
06:00and there was sort of
06:01pessimism
06:02to storytelling
06:03we loved all those
06:04stories
06:05but
06:05but we wanted
06:06also
06:07to
06:09to
06:10see more of the type of story
06:12that we loved
06:13particularly
06:13growing up
06:15so hopefully
06:17we start to see
06:18more
06:18more stories like that
