00:00Hi Keegan, I'm a chocolic too, and I feel you.
00:17Hi Keegan, I'm a chocolic too, and I feel you.
00:22How difficult was it?
00:24Well, it wasn't too terribly difficult because the chocolate was so delicious.
00:28And, you know, you get to have a little bit of chocolate take after take after take, and it was
00:33great.
00:34And so I'm not as much of a chocoholic as my character is, but I do enjoy it, and it
00:40was wonderful.
00:43And in the beginning of the movie, the police says there's a rule, no daydreaming.
00:49How cruel is that rule in European? How can we not daydream in our life?
00:54I know, it's the worst rule ever, isn't it?
00:59I mean, I think you can't, I think people can't even help daydreaming, you know what I mean?
01:03It's a wonderful, it's a wonderful thing.
01:05It's part of what makes us human, is that we have the ability to dream.
01:09And then another thing that makes us human is that we can make those dreams actually come true.
01:14That you can act on a dream and make it become reality, which is, I think, one of the big
01:19themes of the film.
01:20Maybe your character would agree with this quote, but I'm asking you, do you agree with the line, the greedy
01:29beat the needy?
01:31How sad is that?
01:33Yeah, I know, I know.
01:35It's funny, in this really uplifting movie, there's some stuff that's really very dark.
01:40But, and there's lots of kind of adult themes in the movie, but I think that, how does that quote
01:48go again?
01:49The greedy?
01:50Beat the needy.
01:51The greedy beat the needy.
01:52Right, exactly.
01:53And so, there's something about class and about social structure in this movie.
01:59But my hope is that that's not true, and that the needy can rise up and find what it is
02:07that they need.
02:07Again, it's like, if you can find the right people to support you, and the right help in your life,
02:12you get to a place where you're no longer needy.
02:15And I think the greedy need to look at themselves and to kind of figure out, what is it that
02:20makes you want everything?
02:21Why can't we just be satisfied with what we have?
02:25I love Willy Wonka's character.
02:27He's a genius, of course.
02:29He's really loud and colorful.
02:31But the quality that I really love here in this movie is that he can really see the potential in
02:38things.
02:40In your opinion, how important are people like him?
02:43People who can really see the potential in people, in things, in ideas.
02:48How much do we need them?
02:50That's important.
02:51I think it's essential.
02:52It's essential.
02:53We need these kind of people more than anything.
02:56We need the dreamers in the world who are – and what's wonderful is there are some dreamers in this
03:02world who are also doers.
03:04Because, you know, sometimes you have people who are dreamers, and they have to pass the dream on to another
03:08person and have that person be the logistics of everything and have that person be the person that makes the
03:13dream come true.
03:14But then you have people like Willy Wonka who are dreamers and doers at the same time.
03:20And I think those people are essential for the survival of the human race because we need to – we're
03:27kind of designed to evolve and continue to move forward.
03:30And so we need those people in our lives to help kind of pull the rest of us forward.
04:04The cast is all amazing here.
04:05And while eating chocolate, I think it's really a thing.
04:09Yeah.
04:10It should be a new craze that sweeps the world, right?
04:14Yeah.
04:15Which chocolate was your favorite?
04:16And if you could choose one taste and one magical power all in a proline, what would it be?
04:23What I like – you know what?
04:24I like in the movie the silver linings chocolate, the one that Willy gives to Noodle because then it makes
04:33Noodle see the bright side of something or what the possibilities of something are.
04:38Even when the world is against her, it allows her to kind of – I think at one point in
04:43time he says, oh, there it is.
04:44It's kicking in that she gets to say, oh, well, I guess it's not so bad if we did this
04:49or it would be better if we did that.
04:51And I think that would be – I think that's in and of itself a superpower that some people don't
04:55even need chocolate.
04:56They come by it naturally.
04:57But – and I hope that I'm one of those people.
05:01You know, but if you could have a chocolate that made you see the silver linings of a cloud, that'd
05:06be great.
05:07Thank you so much.
05:07Thank you.
05:08I would buy it too.
05:09Thank you.
05:10We'd buy it too, right?
05:11Bye.
05:12Thank you, Valentina.
