Der im frühen 17. Jahrhundert angesetzte Abenteuerfilm Desert Warrior zeigt ein Arabien, das von rivalisierenden, ständig im Krieg befindlichen Stämmen beherrscht wird. Kaiser Kisra (Ben Kingsley) hat sich dort einen Namen als skrupelloser Regent gemacht. Doch seine Macht vermag nicht jeden zu brechen. Die Prinzessin Hind (Aiysha Hart) weigert sich, seine Konkubine zu werden, und provoziert so einen Konflikt, dessen Geschichte noch Jahrhunderte später erzählt werden soll.
