00:00It's a matter of collecting all this reference material and going through it and deciding this would be good for
00:07this sequence, this would be good for this sequence.
00:09We had units in Iceland, we had a unit in Africa, and it's basically the patchwork of all these places
00:14all over the world that kind of can create the look of the movie.
00:17In some shots in the movie you'll see Alberta in the foreground, it's all Alberta, and in the background is
00:21Iceland, but it's all seamlessly put together.
00:25The first six weeks was in a parking lot, it was basically in a sandbox with very big blue screens.
00:31It was tough at first because we're sitting in the first month shooting with all these blue backdrops, and you're
00:35not really in a real environment.
00:37And then the next month we're actually in a real environment, so we went to Alberta.
00:41There's one thing about being in a studio and you just really have to use your imagination, and there's something
00:45about being in the elements and being able to touch the grass and the trees and everything that really helped
00:50just bring the world alive.
00:51No imagination is required really, you have all this beautiful nature around you.
