00:00In the meantime, the office of the Ombudsman seeks for each of the 18 former Marines who
00:05allege having delivered approximately 805 billion pesos to various lawmakers and politicians
00:11as kickbacks from the flood control project scam to individually execute a sworn statement
00:17or affidavit.
00:18This after the NBI drew statements from 16 of the 18 allegedly ex-Marines who showed
00:24up and responded to the subpoenas issued to them earlier today.
00:27It was learned after today's NBI investigation or interview that 8 of the 18 alleged bagmen
00:33slash Zaldico bagmen slash bodyguards did not check out as they claimed to be.
00:39Thus, Deputy Ombudsman Miko Clavano wants each of the 18 to execute individual sworn statements
00:46to further verify the credibility of their statements.
