01:10There's a second in there where I thought, I want to see Battle Angel.
01:14And then I thought, am I really ready to give up my baby?
01:17I said, if you can crack the code on this and you want to do it, let's do it.
01:21I think people are hungry for a world they can immerse in, and that's intriguing and constantly leads them forward.
01:28You got a good sense early on of how big this thing was, and that the challenge was to just
01:33stay at that creative center.
01:35I mean, looking at every aspect of where we're going, it's a different discipline for sure,
01:39but it was the only way to make a movie on this scale, with this kind of scope.
01:42I think of all the movies I've done, this is the one by far where I felt that an audience

01:46so much is being done, tweaked by Weta, and when I'm seeing the shots come in,
01:52I can enjoy them like I'm seeing them for the first time.

01:56I can see why this is how you roll, because of what you all accomplished on Avatar,
02:01and it's the only ones you trusted with Alita.
02:03I knew when I did Avatar with them, Alita would not only be possible, but it would be spectacular.
