00:00The end of Batman Begins suggests a pretty clear direction for how that story would continue.
00:07Gordon, played by Gary Oldman, he talks about escalation.
00:10He talks about the idea that Batman has come to Gotham.
00:14He's created this presence fighting criminals.
00:17But it's a very extreme presence using very extreme methods.
00:20So what response is that going to inspire in The Criminal Fraternity?
00:24And The Dark Knight picks up with that notion.
00:27It picks up with the idea of seeing what response Batman is going to have inspired.
00:35The beginning of The Dark Knight, you see that Bruce Wayne and his Batman persona have matured.
00:42He's really the fully formed Batman from the comics.
00:47But he's also in a place where he's having to question, having to gauge the response to his presence in
00:53Gotham that he's seeing.
00:54He's seeing a rise in copycats and vigilantism and all kinds of things going on and an escalation of the
01:02war with organized crime.
01:03And so there are a lot of potentially negative consequences of his crusade brewing in Gotham at the beginning of
01:11the film.
01:11So let's move on.
01:12So let's move on.
01:12Grazie a tutti
