00:07Have you ever wanted to learn to draw one of your favorite characters from Winnie the Pooh?
00:11Well I'm here to show you how. My name is Randy Haycock and I'm an animator here at Disney Animation
00:16Studios.
00:17I've worked on many classic Disney films like Aladdin, The Lion King and Princess and the Frog.
00:22Most recently I've been working on Winnie the Pooh drawing Eeyore.
00:26So today I'd like to show you how to draw Eeyore at home. All you'll need is a pencil, some
00:31paper, maybe an eraser.
00:33I usually do. And if you get those things and you're ready to go, let's go ahead and get started.
00:40Okay, the first thing we do is draw a circle.
00:45And when you start drawing, draw a light because some of these lines we're going to erase later on.
00:50And the next thing we're going to do is we're going to come down just a little bit.
00:54and we're going to draw an even bigger circle.
00:58Now we're going to connect these two circles with a couple of lines.
01:02The first line is going to come off of this side of the circle and we're going to curve it
01:05a little bit out.
01:06See that? Just like that. And then it'll meet that circle.
01:10We're going to do the same thing on this side. We're going to curve out and meet the circle on
01:14that side.
01:14Now what this is is Eeyore's head and Eeyore's nose.
01:18So the next thing we're going to do is we're going to draw a line right down the middle of
01:24this shape that makes it, kind of cuts it in half.
01:28And this is the seam on Eeyore's head, but it'll also help us with some other things.
01:33Okay? And then we're going to connect those two lines with this little curvy line too.
01:37Now you see how we've made that into a more three-dimensional shape.
01:43And the next thing we're going to do is figure out where his eyes go.
01:47And they're going to sit right on the bottom of this circle up here.
01:51And we're going to make little oval shapes with those eyes.
01:54Pretty close to the, pretty close to that center line.
01:57Did you know that Eeyore tries on no less than 17 tails in this movie?
02:02That's a lot.
02:04All right. Do you see that?
02:06Now his ears are kind of shaped like a banana leaf.
02:12I don't know if you know what a banana leaf looks like, but they're kind of big leaf-shaped.
02:17So we just draw a curvy line out this way, and then draw another curvy line up this way.
02:24And then draw this line kind of coming off of this outside line, and then it comes up into here.
02:32And that's an ear.
02:34And curve down a little bit, and then meet right behind there.
02:37But we're going to stop it there because it's going to go behind.
02:40And see how this makes it so we see the inside of the ear and the outside of the ear.
02:45We're going to do the same thing over here.
02:46We're going to bring a little line down here and meet the outside line.
02:50So that's the outside of the ear, and this is the inside of the ear.
02:54Now Eeyore always has kind of sad eyes, so to make his eyes look sad, we're going to make...
