00:01I think we'd all love to be great and we'd all like to do something special and make an impact
00:06on the world
00:07and so here's a story about a guy who actually finds some kind of fantastical way to make it happen
00:15it's all played very real, it's not magic, it's a pill and it actually makes him become the best version
00:24of himself
00:25he's not a superhero, he's just, you know, but he has this kind of sense of perfectibility, you know, he's
00:32become the perfect version of himself
00:38he's able to do everything and be all the things that he wants to be, whether, you know, he finishes
00:42his book really quickly
00:44he's suddenly playing the stock market and processing, you know, just reams of information, you know, blindingly fast
00:52and drawing conclusions on them and, you know, picking stocks and making a ton of money
00:56and doing all, you know, everything else, he's learning music, he's learning languages, he's playing poker and winning
01:01he's driving cars fast, everything that he wants to do, he somehow has it at his fingertips
01:11Bradley Cooper is, he's been an incredible pleasure to work with and he's truly a great actor
01:17and, you know, we've seen him over the years, but I don't know that we've really seen him like this
01:23you know, he hasn't quite had the opportunity maybe to show it all
01:29perhaps we've seen facets of all of it, but this is all, you know, really all of his skills and
01:33talents
01:34are jammed into this one movie and really his performance is just incredible
01:43Robert De Niro is fantastic for it because, you know, he is an incredibly intelligent guy
01:48and a powerful guy
01:51and, you know, De Niro is a very generous and kind guy as well
01:55and at first Van Loon comes off that way, you know, as somebody who is taking Eddie
01:59Bradley Cooper's character under his wing
02:01and, yeah, he wants to use him for his own, you know, financial gain
02:07but he's also, you know, he's treating him like a son in a certain way
02:10but, but, like in all the best De Niro roles
02:14there's something kind of just a little sinister under the surface
02:16and he, and De Niro can do that so well too
02:23The movie is kind of this wild ride in a way
02:27this journey of this, this guy who goes from failure to success
02:31to kind of a complete crash
02:34and I think that the, you know, the movie's about, you know, human potential
02:39but it's also about power
02:40and, and this, this kind of powerful ride that this guy goes on
02:44and so, for me, I want us to be with Bradley's character
02:49as he makes these choices
02:50as he makes these moral choices
02:52and it is kind of this roller coaster ride
02:55but he's such a winning character
02:57that I think that you go, you know, you go down the dark turns with him
03:00as well as the, you know, into the light with him
03:03so, you know, and it really does ask that question
03:06you know, what if, what if you could change your life with, with a pill
03:10you know, what would you, what would you do?
