00:00Is your PC running out of memory?
00:02Do your games crash, stutter, or feel slow when you have a bunch of tabs open?
00:07Well, you've come to the right place.
00:09Today, I'm going to show you how to optimize your RAM and configure virtual memory like a professional engineer.
00:16This will stop those annoying crashes and make your multitasking way smoother than ever before.
00:21First, let's analyze your RAM map to understand what's really happening inside your system.
00:26Right-click the taskbar and open Task Manager.
00:29Head over to the Performance tab and click on Memory.
00:32Take a look at the in-use and compressed values.
00:35If your compressed memory is super high, it means your CPU is working double time just to keep up.
00:40I'm going to show you how to fix that right now.
00:43Next up is the Standby List Secret.
00:45There's a hidden part of your RAM called the Standby List.
00:48Windows fills this up with data it thinks you might use later, but it often forgets to clear it out
00:53when you launch a heavy game.
00:54I highly recommend a tool called Intelligent Standby List Cleaner.
00:58It's 100% safe and even used by pro gamers.
01:02Just set it to clear your memory automatically when your free RAM gets low.
01:06This will give you a massive boost in gaming stability and completely get rid of that annoying microstatic.
01:11Now, let's talk about disabling, Seismain, and Memory Compression.
01:16We've mentioned Seismain before, but for RAM, it's a huge deal.
01:21This service tries to preload apps, which can fill up your memory unnecessarily.
01:26We can also disable memory compression using PowerShell, especially if you have 16 gigs of RAM or more.
01:32This reduces the workload on your CPU and makes your RAM access much more direct and faster.
01:37Alright, this next one is the most important step of the video.
01:42Professional Virtual Memory, also known as the Page File.
01:45Windows uses your SSD as extra RAM.
01:48So, press the Windows key, type View Advanced System Settings, and hit Enter.
01:54Under Performance, click Settings.
01:57Go to the Advanced tab, and then click Change.
02:01Uncheck Automatically Manage Paging File Size.
02:04Select your fastest drive, and click on Custom Size.
02:07Now, here's a pro tip.
02:09Set the Initial and Maximum Size to the same value.
02:13For example, if you have 16 gigs of RAM, set both to 24,000 megabytes.
02:18This stops Windows from constantly resizing the file, which is a major cause of lag and system freezes.
02:24Before we finish, we have to make sure your hardware is healthy.
02:27Type Windows Memory, diagnostic in your search bar.
02:30This tool is built right into Windows.
02:33It will restart your PC and scan your RAM sticks for any physical errors.
02:37Because if your hardware is failing, no software tweak is going to fix it.
02:41It's always a good idea to check this about once a year.
02:44So, by optimizing your virtual memory, clearing your standby list, and properly managing your page file,
02:51your PC will handle heavy games like Cyberpunk or Warzone with ease.
