00:08It's exciting, I mean I've spent most of my life living in London
00:10and I think the most difficult thing about shooting in London
00:14is to try and find a way of shooting it
00:16that it's not a particularly photogenic city
00:18and to give it mood and atmosphere
00:20and a sense of threat or sense of
00:22personality
00:23because it's such a varied city
00:25that's been a challenge
00:27We had to, if we were going to shoot in London
00:29we had to see parts of London
00:30we hadn't seen before
00:31and also use the iconography
00:34well, probably more so than you would be able to do
00:36in most movies because
00:38Bond opens a few doors
00:39so we got the chance to close down Whitehall
00:41We've used the London Underground
00:43and closed down cheap stations and things
00:45I think it's very exciting if you actually do go out
00:48and, you know, in places
00:50and places that are the real thing
00:53We tend to
00:54to shoot in the more expected areas
00:56but I hope in unexpected ways
00:57and from unexpected angles
00:59So we are in Whitehall
01:00and we are on Vauxhall Bridge
01:01and on the Embankment
01:03and at Smithfield Market
01:05and all those sorts of things
01:05but to me it's just about how you look at the place
01:08and I think in that respect it's useful to be a Londoner
01:11Sam and I wanted to make it British
01:13and it's not some flag waving thing
01:15that either one of us is interested in
01:17it's just about basing Bond in Britain
01:19and it's very exciting just to get out onto the streets
01:22and show London for what it is
01:24they've made it very beautiful
01:25and very dark and sinister at times
01:27but it's Bond's home
01:33and it's a great show
