00:04André Le Nautre is the gardener to the Sun King, and historically he's supposed to be one of the best
00:10friends of Louis XIV.
00:13She shows she has a totally different opinion and a total different feeling for nature and for gardening and for
00:20design.
00:21So that's so refreshing to him because he has a very mathematical way of working.
00:25All his designs are very geometrical and based on mathematical principles.
00:29And so everything is very tidy, very well calculated, very squared.
00:33And then walks this woman and she's a wild one.
00:36And that triggers him because deep down he has the same nature, but it died somewhere.
00:43He called me and said, yes, I would like you to be André Le Nautre. How do you feel about
00:48it?
00:48And so I was absolutely surprised by that and touched because it's truly an honor to be asked by, you
00:54know, Mr. Alan Rickman to be part of his project.
00:56That he was fighting for so long, trying to get it made.
00:59So it's a very personal project.
01:01It's something that you feel is being created with a lot of attention, with a lot of love and devotion.
01:07So to be asked to be a part of that is truly an honor, yeah.
01:12She's one of a kind actress and one of a kind human being.
01:15But I think those, for some reason, always come together.
01:18It's not, you're not that and then not that.
01:20It's impossible.
01:21It's a pleasure to work with.
01:23She's a lot of fun.
01:24And I always like it to be fun as well.
01:26Even though it's serious and it has to be fun.
01:28We have to enjoy it.
01:29It has to be playful.
01:30We need oxygen in it.
01:31And so she's, yeah, she's perfect, really.
01:34She is.
01:36It's a very poetic movie.
01:38It's not like a, it's not a heavy drama.
01:40It's a tribute to an homage, to passion.
01:44That's what it is, actually.
01:45That's how I read it.
01:46It's a tribute to passion.
01:47And so it has everything in it.
01:49It has pain.
01:49It has poetry.
01:50It has humor.
01:51It has perversity.
01:52It has everything.
01:53And that makes it interesting.
01:54It's a tribute to passion.
