00:00My thoughts when I was asked to do Point Break were, yes.
00:04I mean, it's an iconic film, you know, the first Point Break was one of the things that
00:10inspired me to get into jumping in the first place, and it was the beginning of the extreme
00:14sports movement.
00:15That was where it all kind of started.
00:16Even though the original wasn't an extreme sports movie, it was really a bank heist movie
00:22that had some sports involved, it still spawned this movement.
00:26And I know that the skydiving industry exploded after that movie came out.
00:31And I know I saw it, and I was inspired by it.
00:33So, you know, and I think that's what's really amazing is, you know, now, with what's happening,
00:38when I got contacted for this Point Break movie, I was thinking, absolutely I want to be a part
00:43of that.
00:43And especially after talking to Erickson, because his vision of the film was very special.
00:49I, you know, Hollywood's gotten into this place where everything's CGI, everything's
00:52fake, you got people picking up buses and throwing them, and at a certain point it just gets so
00:55unreal that you can't connect to it anymore.
00:58Like, it's just, and you just feel like you're just watching another big explosion after another,
01:01you know?
01:01And you're like, okay.
01:03You know, but this, you know, Erickson said, he's like, I want to do this for real, you
01:08know?
01:08And I was like, wow, that's, that's quite cool.
01:11And he started giving me an understanding of what this movie was going to be about.
01:14And I'm like, wow, the scope is so much bigger, you know, it's so much bigger and so much
01:21more interesting.
01:21And I all of a sudden started seeing what the stunts were going to be like.
01:24And he said, hey, you know, I'd like you to help me to develop a wingsuit flying sequence,
01:28you know?
01:29And I, I'd like it to be the most spectacular wingsuit flying sequence that's ever been done.
01:32And I'm like, I can help you with that.
01:34That's, that's, I mean, that literally, that's like a dream, a dream, a dream come true.
01:37literally to be able to work on a film, um, of this magnitude about the sports that we
01:44love, you know, the extreme sports that, you know, are now starting to grow, you know, and
01:50to be able to develop a stunt wrapped around what you do is really special.
01:55And I, and I, and like I said, Erickson's vision for the whole concept was so infectious,
02:00you know, and it made me instantly just go, absolutely.
02:03I will be involved in this and I will help in any way that I can.
02:06Point Break.
