00:00What is it about your life that, because I know you write from experience, and so what is it about
00:03this time around that you felt, okay, this is time for me to get back into writing, you know, something
00:09like a sequel?
00:09It's the moment that my daughter started kindergarten, and somebody referenced how quickly they would leave us and go off
00:16to school, as in college, and the room spun, and I was gripping the edge of the desk, and I
00:25heard a noise and realized it was myself weeping at the top of my lungs, and went, oh, I have
00:30morphed into my own suffocating Greek parents.
00:34So at what point did you know that this was happening, like there was going to be a...
00:38First.
00:38Oh, really? Can you talk about how did you find out, like, was there a text?
00:42Oh, sorry, as soon as I finished the script, I called John on his birthday.
00:46Yeah, May 9th, and said, it's done, I have it. I couldn't believe it, because look, over a decade had
00:54passed, I didn't really think it would ever happen, and we stay in touch throughout the year, over the years,
01:02and I was pretty sure it wasn't going to happen.
01:05What I love about this time is, like, you know, everybody's story kind of progresses, and in the case of
01:09your relationship, can you talk about where you guys are as a couple at this juncture in your lives?
01:17We are just about where everybody's been married for 16, 17 years, with a 16, 17-year-old daughter, is
01:25we are ignoring each other slightly, doing our own things, caught up in our, my work, I'm a principal, and
01:36she's, you know, not looking as glamorous as she might want to look, and all those things where the shine
01:43wears off in a couple's relationship.
01:45Thank you.
