The United States and Israel have carried out their largest series of airstrikes in Iran since the conflict began. US President Donald Trump also threatened further strikes if Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz, a vital passageway for 20% of the world's oil.

00:28This comes despite Trump saying the conflict will be over soon following a spike in global energy prices.
