00:02I read it just as a story and as a screenplay and I just, I had to say to myself,
00:11what is
00:12this? What does this mean to me? What are the implications of this script? Who are these,
00:16in my imagination, these characters? And it was so vivid and so clever and so well drawn
00:23out and there was so much going on and it wasn't just like a fantasy tale with big
00:29explosions and clever graphics or it was, it was a very complex and very original story.
00:39If you could think of anyone who should be making this, it's someone like Duncan who grew
00:45up loving the ideas of this, this world and these people and, and this game.
00:54I think that he talks through everything with such enthusiasm and it's been so considered
01:01that you have complete trust in, in what he is requiring of you and that's what's important
01:09and I think that I do, I already was a huge fan of his and respected every decision that
01:16he's certainly made on, on his other movies and, and I was just very drawn into the world
01:23in which he was trying to create in this.
01:27It's a game of chess and for, for a king, um, it's, it's constantly maneuvering yourself
01:34into a position that supports your kingdom in the best possible way. And sometimes that's
01:41with siding with others. So there's a moment, a real hinging moment in the film where he
01:45just, there is a big choice to be made on whether to trust people who are, would, I suppose, normally
01:54be untrustworthy because it's the last resort. It's the only option they have to actually save
01:59what is left of the kingdom. Um, and I think that's really, I think that's very different because
02:06it's normally, I think as simple as this, these are the goodies, these are the baddies to go
02:12with who you want, but that is as simple as that. It's not in this. There are many more aspects
02:17to it.
02:20And, and I like that it brings up even in a fantastical way, but it brings up many issues that
02:26are
02:26going on and are relevant to our world at the moment.
