00:41I mean, you know, it starts like an ironic, silly thing,

00:45and then it wound up in a really cool, sincere place, you know?

00:55You set up boundaries, and then you give it to everybody else,
00:57and you let them have it, you know?
00:59You just sort of trust them.

01:00Because basically it seemed to me that you put a camera on yourself
01:04while you watched all your movies,
01:05and just anyone who wanted to came in
01:07and kind of did anything they wanted to.
01:10Yeah, and you got some people who are exhibitionists
01:11who want to sit right next to you and dress up and do stuff,
01:14and then you got some people who just want to lay in the cut
01:16and just be a part of it.
01:17So it's really open-ended.
01:20There's no, there's not a whole lot of boundaries,
01:22other than you kind of got to wait in line,
01:23and that becomes its own part of the thing.

01:26We have a clip of just, this went on for, like,

01:49and asked them to come give you a ride.

02:08Uh, we started in Colorado.
02:10We wound up in Alaska.
02:11We hit every side of the nation.
02:13We went everywhere.
02:15Were people on their way to these places,
02:17or did people say,
02:18I want to take you to Alaska?
02:19Yeah, some people would just quit their jobs
02:21and roll with you for three weeks.
02:23Like, it started with the three of us, you know?
02:25Like, all the things we do,
02:27and then it just wound up...
02:28We had, like, 20 people rolling with us the last week,
02:30you know, until we got to Canada,
02:31and then we had to lose a bunch of people
02:32because they didn't have their passports.

02:34And then we jumped to Alaska,
02:36and we were in Alaska.
02:36We finished in Alaska.
02:37And were there people that you thought at some point,
02:40I got to get them now off this trip.
02:42I can't spend another day in a car with this guy.
02:45No, because it manages itself, you know?
02:47You'll never have to mouth out.
02:48It'll always be the group.
02:49The group manages itself.
02:50So you just sort of float, you know?
02:51You just let people do their thing.

02:54you've done over the past year?

02:57We did a thing where we set up, like,
02:59a telephone line where we asked people
03:01to call up and touch our souls.

03:05And you just took phone calls for a long time.
03:08Yeah, for five days, yeah.

03:09Yeah, yeah.
03:10You have a lot of free time, it turns out.

03:13That's what happens.
03:14You get fired from a show,
03:15and then you just sort of float for a little bit.
03:16Five days of phone calls.

03:26Did you learn anything during that time
03:28from taking all those phone calls?
03:29Uh, I'm enjoying myself, you know?
03:33I find a lot of joy in it, yeah.
03:34And I think a lot of the people who take part in it
03:36find a lot of joy in it, too, you know?
03:38Do you remember any of them specifically?
03:40We still talk, yeah.

03:45You build, like, groups.
