Il video con cui il cast e la troupe ringraziano i fan di Sense8.

00:04In the midst of the scrambling chaos to put this bonkers show back together and all the excitement and the
00:11problem solving and the ongoing crisis every single day, I looked at the calendar and I saw that the 8th
00:18was fast approaching and I suddenly heard the voice of Riley inside my head saying, this is more than an
00:24emergency.
00:25Hey, you know, some things are more important than emergencies.
00:30What I meant by that was that, look, there's always stuff going on, there's always stuff going wrong.
00:35Something like the fact that Sense8 was brought back to life, which is every bit as fairy tale and storybook
00:42as Trinity kissing Neo, bringing him back to life.
00:45I think it requires a moment to just take a breath, to appreciate it, to look around, admire the holy
00:52shitness of it all, because what you fans did is quite frankly unbelievable.
01:06To anyone who knows anything about this business, this just does not happen.
01:12The idea that a very publicly announced cancellation of a show, which included a direct rebuttal to the fans after
01:19their initial response, could be reversed by the persistent, passionate, rather creative campaign, is a bit of the stuff of
01:29a Frank Capra movie.
01:30Why do you like watching this silly movie every year?
01:32I guess I like what it believes in.
01:34What does it believe in?
01:36People.
01:38The idea that this outpouring of love that Sense8 fans had for the show, that this would reach Netflix and
01:45convince them to reverse their decision, is, let's face it, maybe a little too schmaltzy for most narratives today.
02:03I think this is also a testament to the kind of cool, radical, let's say unpredictable company that Netflix is.
02:11They really do care about the artists they work with, the shows they make, and probably most importantly, they listen
02:17to the subscribers, proving again and again that they're not just a company run by an abacus.
02:27It happened. You did it. It's real. It was, by all accounts, a kind of populist uprising. And the most
02:35astonishing part of it is that you won. And that is something to celebrate.
03:09Why I love this show so much. The way that art and life are constantly swirling and mingling together.
03:16Sense8 is one of the most incredible experiences of my life.
03:18What's with the hair?
03:20What's with the hair?
03:21What's with the hair?
03:21Yeah. What's with the hair?
03:23I don't even know what you mean.
03:29Bringing this character to life, I remember being in a club, an underground club in Korea, with Lana, a club
03:38filled with misfits and rascals. A What's Up came on.
03:41And I said, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
03:49I said, hey.
03:52Life straight in the underground, oh.
03:56What's with the hair?
03:58No.
04:08Oh
04:36I've never worked on a show in which so much of the personalities, the stories, the actual
04:42energy of the cast and the crew were in the fabric of the show itself. This is the first
04:48time that I've experienced something like this or seen anything like this happen. Your
04:52love and your perseverance. I could not be more proud to be a part of such an
04:58incredible show that has touched so many people on such a profound level. The joy
05:04that we get from from filming it seems to be the same joy that you get from
05:08receiving it. I don't even know how to describe my feelings about it. Comforting
05:13towards actually. And I'm too shy. The message of the show of human connection,
05:21acceptance, diversity. Has the ability to connect people together all around the
05:28world. That honesty that she writes the show with is what makes it penetrate
05:33through all of us and helps us all connect with the idea of Sense8. I mean we
05:37all feel like Sense8's. For me Sense8 is about love and struggle, about fighting for
05:43what you believe in, about being your brothers and sisters keeper. Sense8 is the
05:47microcosm of the world that I traveled in and you guys the audience of the
05:52and macrocosm. To spread love and empathy and kick assness around the world. The
05:57show has affected people so deeply and so personally that people have become
06:01friends through this show, through the love of the show. People have met their
06:05significant partners because of the show. People who have been empowered with the
06:10message of the show. The patience and generosity of the fans give life to these
06:16ideas and keep them in the world. It makes me less pessimistic and I'm prone to pessimism.
06:23It's such a beautiful family affair.
06:29Here I am at a wedding being reminded, like in Sense8, all you need is love.
06:34Something that was so heartbreaking was to like even imagine that we would have no idea what would
06:40happen to Wolfgang. I mean, like, where is he? Oh. What am I doing here?
06:50I'm someone who thinks about the power of cinema a lot. I experienced it when I was
06:56young and I saw transgender characters in films or in television shows and they
07:02were inherently tragic or they were a joke or a victim or most typically psychopathic
07:09serial killers. Those kind of characters reflect the dominant narrative in our
07:15culture about difference. Difference is something to fear. Difference is
07:19something to laugh at. Difference, most importantly, is something that divides. So
07:24when I pitched Sense8 to Netflix, I told him that I wanted to tell a different
07:28story about difference. I wanted to tell a story in which difference was not
07:32something that set us apart from each other. It was actually fundamentally the
07:37thing that united us because difference is the one thing that we all have in common.
07:43There is no one who has been or will ever be exactly the same as either you or me.
07:51Sense8 is different than most shows. I know that. It's different on purpose.
07:56She came right up to me and she said, are you Bug? And I said, yes, yes.
08:04I'm Bug. And I was so excited and happy and she introduced me to her friend from Germany. I said,
08:13do you watch Sense8? They said, yes, of course. We all, my friends, we love Sense8. It's the best
08:18show. It's the only show. It's the most important show and the only show for, you know, people like, you
08:24know, people, you know, like us. We got introduced to these heroes that we could relate to, that we
08:31could believe in. They couldn't jump tall buildings and they can't save the world with superhuman
08:37powers. No matter how left out they felt, they always had the ability to connect.
08:43I know it sounds naive, maybe even cheesy, but I wanted to show where anyone from any part of the
08:49world could be the hero. I wanted to show where women could be the best fighters and men could
08:55be sensitive. I wanted to show where anyone could fall in love and live happily ever after. Because
09:02when I was a little kid, those kind of shows did not exist.
09:08I know you could have denied it all, like so many others. And you didn't. And I have never been
09:19prouder of you. I get that pessimism and darkness are easy sounds for gritty and the way the world is.
09:31But look, hey, you've got to remember, we are standing on a rock that's floating in the middle
09:36of space. And it's spinning at a thousand miles an hour. And if gravity was just a little bit
09:41different than the exact magical force it is, we would fly off or we would be crushed. And that fact
09:46is like, almost as improbable and crazy and miraculous as the fact that Sense8 is back.
09:56So to honor this gift, although I know I can never return its equal, I thought all of us on
10:02this side
10:02of the camera could start by offering our thanks. So...
10:30Thank you! A massive thank you to all of you all over the world. Tak, tak, tak. That's thank you
10:38in Icelandic.
10:39I think. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you for getting Sense8
10:46back.
10:47A big thank you to all of the fans for their enthusiasm, for their passion, for their determination.
10:53Thank you very much. Muchas gracias. Obrigado.
10:58I want to thank you so much because it means a lot to me. The show means a lot to
11:03me, but
11:04also the message that you are sending out with fighting for the show.
11:08I want you to know today, on this very special day, that you are not alone. You are loved and
11:14we are in this together. And it is just amazing to have you in our universe.
11:26Thank you for caring so much that you actually made a difference for it.
11:32Thanks to you, miracles happen and miracles exist.

12:00Which is fucking amazing. And I know Lana loves fireworks. That's why we are doing fireworks on rooftops.
12:07I don't know if it's allowed, but I don't give a fuck because the impossible happened.
