00:00Thank you for listening.
01:33Oh no!
01:35What'd I do?
02:03Oh no!
02:05Someone else, someone else, someone else will come along to give my squirt some attention.
02:15Quiet!
02:16I can't think of all that noise!
02:19Oh, shoot!
02:31I have three pairs.
02:33John gives me 15 more.
02:36How many pairs do I have?
02:43Hmm...
02:56A gnome?
02:58Bless you.
03:00Thanks!
03:02Tell me, gnome, is it true that you can do magic?
03:06Make roses bloom in winter or turn princes into frogs?
03:09I can do anything.
03:12Can you even do my homework?
03:15Of course I can.
03:16Just open the lid.
03:18Uh-uh.
03:18First, do my homework.
03:20Homework?
03:20Take a look, needles.
03:23Take a look, needles.
03:23It's done.
03:24Oh!
03:34What have you done, gnome?
03:36Homework?
03:36My teacher will never believe I wrote this neatly.
03:40Why doesn't John just keep his old pairs?
03:43Stop worrying.
03:44I know how to fix it.
04:00Release me from this trunk.
04:01Perfect!
04:03Now, release me from this trunk.
04:05Uh-uh.
04:06Not yet.
04:07Now, let me think.
04:10What else can you give me?
04:13Gold?
04:14Jewels?
04:15Or how about food?
04:16How about a giant feast with all my favorite things?
04:19Or maybe...
04:20Oh, no, you don't.
04:23Not yet.
04:26Oh, please, Nils, let me go.
04:28I'll do anything you want me to do.
04:31All right.
04:32But are you sure a gnome can do absolutely anything?
04:36Of course.
04:37If you can do anything, my wish is to be like you.
04:43All right.
04:44But first, let me go.
04:46Well, you won't trick me.
04:49Gnomes never lie.
04:51Ooh!
04:55Here's your wish.
04:57Fabus!
04:59Fabus!
05:01Fabus!
05:12Well, Nils Holgeson, now you are exactly like me.
05:19I wish you the best of luck.
05:23Wait!
05:24Wait, gnome!
05:25Gnome, come back here!
05:27My ball!
05:32I don't want to be tiny like you.
05:35I just want to have all your powers.
05:37Come back and change me!
05:40Teach me your magic spells!
05:42Come back!
05:44Sparrow!
05:45Have you seen a gnome right in front of me?
05:49Hey, look, geese!
05:51Look at the naughty boy news!
05:53You have to beat us now!
06:01Shame on you!
06:03Shame on you, picking on helpless geese!
06:07I'm not afraid of you!
06:09Not a bit!
06:10What?
06:26Friends, come fly with us to our whole Mott North, to the land of Laflandia!
06:47Wait for me!
06:50Please!
06:51I want to go with you!
06:53Please!
06:54Please!
06:55Bertine!
06:55Your mother's baby goose!
06:57Come back!
06:58Come back, Bertine!
06:59Come here!
06:59Please!
07:00Whoa!
07:00Oh, no!
07:19Martine! Martine, enough of this now!
07:23You go back down to our barnyard.
07:25Right now!
07:26Oh, no!
07:28Quiet!
07:29I need to concentrate.
07:31I'm getting so tired.
07:35Arka, look at the right goose.
07:38He's falling way behind.
07:41A barnyard goose can't fly this far.
07:44Arka, come sit up!
07:46I mean, it's up!
07:56Oh, Martina, what's the matter?
08:05Water, maybe water.
08:09Water.
08:10The water is close.
08:12Just try to crawl there.
08:22Oh, don't die, Martina.
08:25Oh, I feel much better, Nils.
08:38Much better.
08:40Nils, what's the matter?
08:46Mama?
08:47Nils, are you sick?
08:49No.
08:50No, I'm all right.
08:51I just fainted for a moment.
09:04That poor white goose, Martina.
09:06I'm sure he must have crashed.
09:09No doubt.
09:10I'm afraid.
09:12He's probably dead by now.
09:14Geese, hush up now.
09:16And look.
09:17It's the red goose.
09:19He's not dead after all.
09:43Oh, a white goose?
09:45Please, oh great goose leader Akka, I beg of you.
09:49Allow me to stay with your flock and go north with you for the summer.
09:55You've survived great adversity, and so I will allow it.
10:01But what is this with you?
10:03This is a friend.
10:06Why, he's human.
10:08But very small.
10:10From a small boy can come big trouble.
10:13I'm afraid your friend has to leave.
10:15Allow him to stay, please Akka.
10:19One night, he is ill and could die of the cold.
10:23All right, I'll let him stay.
10:25But tomorrow, in the morning, off he goes, never to return.
10:54Oh, Fox, fly now.
10:56Hurry, fly.
11:02Hey, stop.
11:04Stop.
11:05Let him go.
11:06Let him go, Fox.
11:09Go.
11:09Come on, let him, I said, let him go.
11:39Come on, Fox.
11:42That's it.
11:45Keep coming.
11:47Fox can't catch me.
11:49Fox can't catch me.
11:51Fox can't catch me.
11:52Come on.
11:54Come on.
12:00I hope I can swim, Fox.
12:03No?
12:03Too bad.
12:07Nails.
12:07You did it.
12:09You did it.
12:11Oh, very well done, young man.
12:14Very good job.
12:15I am very impressed with you.
12:18You have saved our roost.
12:20As the first human boy to ever help us,
12:23I am going to allow you to fly north with us.
12:27Welcome to our flock, human.
12:35Oh, I miss my home, my father, my mother.
12:59There's no one to feed me.
13:02And I'm so hungry.
13:05Huh?
13:06What do you have, Martine?
13:08Hey, corns.
13:10Where'd you find these?
13:11A mother squirrel.
13:12She gave them to me.
13:13I hope you told the mother thank you.
13:18I forgot.
13:20Martine, how thoughtless of you.
13:24Thoughtless?
13:24Where are you going?
13:26The lads, to find some more encords.
13:30Thoughtless?
13:31Indeed.
13:33He should take a look at himself.
13:36He never once said thank you to me.
13:42I try to do it.
13:45I try to do it.
13:45And I, you know, it's not a mess.
13:49He's good.
14:05He's good.
14:07Kirlit! Kirlit!
14:09Hey little girl,
14:10Are you lean for these
14:12Yes they fell?
14:14Kirlit!
14:15Kirlit!
14:16He fell down and jumped in
14:18He fell down and jumped in
14:28I killed your mother at the temple, and the little girl fell, and the little girl fell, and the little
14:36girl fell.
14:36And the little girl fell, and the little girl fell.
14:39Well, go and walk into your mother.
14:53I'll find your mother.
14:56I'm going to fall.
14:59I'm going to fall.
15:00Yes, you're going to fall.
15:02Right?
15:03Yes, go ahead.
15:10Where did you go?
15:12Where did you go?
15:15Where did you go?
15:19Where did you go?
15:28I am going to fall.
15:33You made it in your life.
15:34Well, my husband.
15:35Here's a girl.
15:37Well, what did you say?
15:39My friend, a girl says.
15:39She is a girl and his mother is going to die.
15:41Now, the girl is going to fall.
15:44Your father is going to fall.
15:45Look at his mother's.
15:46He said she is very bad.
15:53He needs to leave.
15:58If you need my help,
16:01no one can help me,
16:03except Gnome.
16:06What Gnome do you think?
16:08It's in the middle of the river.
16:11There is Gnome Demerius.
16:13How old?
16:14He's old.
16:15He's old.
16:16He's old.
16:18He's red.
16:21He's red.
16:23He's red.
16:24How would I go to the river?
16:26Right, Nils.
16:27All the time.
16:28Bye, Nils.
16:31I wish you luck.
16:53Pum-pum, Pum-pum, Pum-pum,
16:54Try to guess who be my guest.
16:57Pum-pum, Pum-pum, Pum-pum,
17:00The Gnome will bathe and rest.
17:11Hmm.
17:12The way cord's around here.
17:14Come on.
17:19Tilly-um-pum-pum, Tilly-um-pum,
17:22It's great to be alive.
17:25Tilly-um-pum-pum, Tilly-um-pum,
17:29I love to swim and dive.
17:32Yes.
17:33Brr-bruh.
17:34Pum-pum.
17:38Huh.
17:39Well, might as well go for a swim.
17:43Tchah!
17:43Tchah!
17:44Ah!
17:45No!
17:46Brrrr!
17:47That's cold.
17:49Oh, boy!
17:50That's cold.
17:51Pum-pum-pum,
17:53Refreshing.
17:54Pum-pum-pum-pum-pum-pum.
17:55Oh, boy!
17:56That was refreshing.
17:57Pum-pum-pum-pum-pum-pum.
18:00Oh, boy! That was refreshing.
18:04Now to dress up and find some white-corns.
18:19It's the gnome!
18:22Forgive me. Make me big again. I'll never tease again. I promise.
18:28My boy, I forgave your teasing a long time ago.
18:33But the problem is that when I bewitched you, I was very angry.
18:39And so the spell is too strong for me to take it off.
18:43Then I'll be small? Like this forever?
18:45No, not forever, I think. Perhaps someday.
18:50Someday when? When someday?
18:52When one little stick with nine holes will destroy a whole army.
19:00When a royal king will take off his hat.
19:04And you will still remain in one.
19:08When...
19:10No.
19:11You'll discover what the third condition is after you've fulfilled the first two.
19:19Oh, poor Nils must be lost in the woods.
19:24Or maybe some animal ate him.
19:27I shouldn't have let him go.
19:29Not all by himself.
19:32Martine, where are you going?
19:34To the woods.
19:35To search for the bones of Nils.
19:39Wait! Stop!
19:41Nils bones have come to you, Martine.
19:46Huh.
19:59I don't know.
20:00I don't know.
20:01No.
20:13Oh.
20:14No.
20:15No.
20:15No.
20:16No.
20:16No.
20:17No.
20:25THE END
20:55Look, someone's coming this way.
20:58Who is it, Akka?
21:00It's Armony, the stork.
21:03He's lived for many years in the eaves of this castle.
21:09I am happy to see you, Mr. Armony.
21:12Dear Madam Akka, a disaster has befallen the many lodges of this castle.
21:18An army of huge rats has surrounded the place.
21:31This is no time for tears, Mr. Armony.
21:35We can't lose a minute.
21:37Do you know how to fight off an entire army of rats?
21:41No, but my grandmother told me of a magic book that's hidden somewhere inside the castle.
21:47That's right.
21:48That book should tell us just how to get rid of the rats.
21:52It does.
21:54But do you have a scholarly goose in your flock who can read such a book?
21:57Yes, I certainly do.
22:01Well, not a goose exactly, but he is a scholar.
22:14What does it say, Niels?
22:16Let me start at the top.

23:30Did he say mice and bats?
23:33Here.
23:34Не мышей.
23:35Но мы же летучие.
23:38Когда дому угрожают крысы, мышам лучше помалковать.
23:44Читай дальше, Niels.
23:45Способ номер один.
23:48Чтобы раз и навсегда избавиться от крыс и мышей,
23:53лучше всего приобрести молодого здорового кота.
24:01Кота.
24:02Кота?
24:03Он у нас всех птенцов передушил.
24:06Getting rid of rats with the help of a flute made magic upon the advice of this book.

24:55My grey warriors, just look at all this grain, enough to last a lifetime.
25:02It's ours now that we own this big hunt.
25:07But it's not enough. We must take over the whole castle.
25:12We must have it all.
25:14Hey, let him shout if he's making up!
25:19After this castle, we'll take another hunt.
25:29We'll be right back!
25:50We'll be right back!
25:50No!

27:19You sleeping?
27:21Yes.
27:22I want to talk to you.
27:24I have to figure something out.
27:27Listen, Martine, yesterday I fulfilled the gnome's first condition.
27:31So now can I go to sleep?
27:34Wait, Martine, here's what he said.
27:37Using one small stick with nine holes in it, I must defeat an entire army of warriors by myself.
27:47I did that.
27:48First condition.
27:54The second condition is that a king must take off his hat while I remain with him.
28:02The next condition.

33:05Do you remember Rosenbaum when I was in the sea?
33:14Let us give her one last salute in honor of her glory.
33:20Hooray! Hooray!
33:26Rosenbaum, he is in your hands!
33:29Who? My boy!
33:32So I am. But you can't do anything about it. Look at the clock tower. It's 2.59. Soon it'll
33:41be 3 o'clock.
33:52Hurry now! And be careful that the black cat doesn't cross your path. It's very bad luck, you know.
34:11I'm just so happy about how things turned out. Rosenbaum, the condition's fulfilled. The king took off his hat. Well,
34:21I have remained in one.
34:28And that's how it happened, Martine. That's when the king took off his hat, and I was left in Rosenbaum's
34:36hat.
34:39Oh, what? Then don't tell me what the last condition is. If only I knew I'd fulfill it. Then I
34:47would grow big, and I could go home again.
34:49Nails, stop worrying. We'll live. You'll see. If you're lucky, you'll discover what it is before we return home in
