00:28So, after the other offers and stuff came in,
00:31we decided and we waited for the rights to come back to us,
00:35cos' you're dealing with rights that have gone out in the play,
00:37so they've got them and that's got them, and it's all quite complicated.
00:40And so we waited for it to come back to us,
00:43and once it had, we just thought, let's just write it in our own time,
00:46cos' we're both busy with other things.
00:48So that took us about a year or so to find the time to do it justice and do it
00:53right.
00:53And then we honestly thought, well, who do we want to make the film with?
00:58You know, we want it to be British,
01:01because the DNA of it is just so much of our experience is British.
01:04Yeah, and we can, without being retro in any way,
01:08we did want to celebrate the Britishness of it,
01:10cos' that was part of where we were both born creatively.
01:13You know, there was such a golden age of homegrown horror in the 70s,
01:18late 60s and 70s, that we grew up with on television and formed us.
01:24And, you know, we really wanted to plug into that feeling, really, I think.
01:31Yeah, and when you start looking at it and thinking, well,
01:33who is a British independent production company that seemed to,
01:39from the outside looking in, you know, the films they make seem to support an artistic vision
01:43and do it with style.
01:46And so we were trying to form that list.
01:49And Jan de Manche, who directed Deadset that I was in, had made 71 and was making it at the
01:58time.
01:59And we'd already sort of thought, well, Warp are top of that list, really.
02:03And Jan, who was making 71 with Warp, I bumped into him in Soho and said to him,
02:08oh, we're thinking of, we're just starting to talk to them.
02:11And he just said, they are the best.
02:13And they've been incredible in terms of supporting me as a film director and what I want to do.
02:18And we went and met Robin, Robin Gutsch at Warp.
02:24And they, indeed, have been phenomenal.
02:27I mean, it's just been amazing.
02:28I think it's funny.
02:28Grazie a tutti.
