00:01I went through 12 years of trying and failing to have babies. I went through a
00:06long fertility journey and experienced recurrent miscarriage and when I
00:12started out on that journey I felt a great deal of shame around it and I
00:18didn't feel that I could share what I was going through and when you don't
00:21feel you can share it's a very alienating position to be in and you end
00:25up being very alone. The moment that I decided to take the risk of sharing
00:30whether it was writing about it and talking about it in a podcast or simply
00:35conversing with a friend or a loved one the moment I did that that was the moment
00:40that I felt less alone because connection is forged through vulnerability and there
00:46is a solidarity that comes from that. I now feel part of a community of women and
00:52men who have walked similar paths and there's so much strength and power that
00:57comes from that.
