00:06So, let me just say, I predicted a lot about what's happening right now.
00:17I'm not into saying I told you so, but we did see it coming.
00:25But what I did not predict is that we would not have Jesse Jackson with us right now to
00:31help us get through this.
00:38Reverend Jackson was impatient.
00:42He did not waste time waiting.
00:47Even when the doors in front of him were barred and bolted, even if those on the other side
00:54hesitated or even ignored him, he always devised a way through.
01:01Jesse Jackson was a strategist.
01:04He was one of the most effective community and political organizers of our time.
01:10And he was the founder, I think most would agree, the founder of the Modern Progressive
01:18Coalition.
01:23What a joke.
01:24Reverend Jackson reminded us that the many fights for freedom are interconnected.
01:32He saw not only the interconnection, but the interdependence of the various struggles for
01:39justice and dignity on behalf of Black Americans, Native and Asian Americans, Latino, LGBTQ Americans,
01:48and Americans with disabilities.
01:50That was Jesse's rainbow.
01:52And he continued to grow it.
02:01Jesse Jackson, at the hour of his death, was not, Roland Martin, a popular figure.
02:10He would have stood against the war in the Gaza.
02:16He would have been fighting for the Affordable Care Act.
02:20He would be fighting to save the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and challenging the Supreme Court
02:27to render a decision in the Calais decision that would strengthen the Congressional Black
02:32Caucus and not undermine it.
02:38I am somebodiness is what Jesse Jackson's known for.
02:44Not the 84 and 88 campaign and just voter registration.
02:50Jesse Jackson's greatest contribution is not political.
02:54It is psychological.
02:56Negro, you are better off today than you were when you met this Negro.
03:03Negro, you can be completely separated from that which is taking him and humankind to
03:27an abyss.
03:27Separarse from Netanyahu is necessary.
03:31He must move away from Netanyahu.
03:34Separarse from those who launch missiles against the planet Earth.
03:40And from those who launch missiles against the planet Earth.
03:42Separarse from the missiles and speak of a pact for life.
03:46And to move away from missiles and speak of a pact for life.
03:51As Reverend Jackson leaves, the family, you will line up behind him.
03:56We look forward tomorrow to hearing from Jonathan Jackson, Congressman Jackson tomorrow, Jacqueline
04:03Jackson.
04:03We look forward to hearing from the British.
