00:00Hi everyone, just stay with me for a minute because I have a special message.
00:06Sometimes people don't get the recognition that they deserve and two and a half weeks ago my son, Ewan, who's
00:1311 years old, severed his finger in a door playing with friends, middle finger, left hand.
00:20And when I say severed, I mean severed. You know, flesh, bone, fingernail, the whole lot.
00:30And it was a quick dash to Kingston Hospital, A&E, where nurses, doctors, staff came out, looked after him,
00:40x-rayed.
00:41We were referred to St. George's in London, the paediatrics there, the special department where they do plastic surgery, where
00:50they did an operation on Ewan and saved his finger, bandaged it up.
00:57Obviously we were sent back home, but the aftercare has been incredible.
01:03It's been two and a half weeks and I just want to say thank you.
01:08Thank you to Kingston Hospital. Thank you to St. George's.
01:11Thank you to all the staff there that we dealt with, you know, from reception to nurses, to doctors, to
01:19the plastic surgeons.
01:21Thank you for the care that you gave my son.
01:24Thank you for saving his finger.
