00:09Right after arriving in Ghana, I met with Kofi, the owner, from Guide Kofi Tourate at a Ghanaian
00:15restaurant to discuss the tours that he offered. This initial meet-up included a wide array of
00:20delicious local dishes to help with my understanding of Ghanaian food. The following
00:25day began with a tour of a local market where I learned about native Ghanaian foods, fruits,
00:30and vegetables. As part of the tour, we had plans to try some street food, but due to my tight
00:36schedule, we did not, and so we ventured on to the next stop which was a local restaurant with a
00:41wide
00:41array of Ghanaian food. Kofi took the time to explain the different foods and their ingredients
00:46and their cultural significance. I particularly enjoyed the jollof rice and the goat meat soup at
00:52this restaurant. Kofi's food tour is impeccably organized. Kofi's timeliness and attentive
00:58understanding of my preferences ensured the tour was personalized and special. With Guide Kofi Tour,
01:04you get exceptional value for your money through a combination of privacy, personal engagement,
01:09and professionalism. Would highly recommend this food tour experience. My friend and I had a great
01:16time and ate and drank so well during the tour. This isn't one of those typical small-taste type of
01:21tours you might experience elsewhere so come hungry and ask them to wrap things up to go for you if
01:26you
01:26can't finish. Ransford was amazing and really cared about the experience we had. We can't wait to come
01:33back and try some of their other tour experiences. This was a great activity to kick off our time in
01:38country. The food tour was amazing. I did the tour with my best friend and we decided to do this
01:45on the
01:45first day of our trip to give us an idea of what to expect when it comes to food. We
01:50had a great time
01:51lots of good eats thanks to Ransford. Everything we had, from the street food and drink at McCullough
01:56Market to the food at the restaurant, we enjoyed. We also really liked being able to stop by the
02:02National Museum to hear more about the culture, past and present. Would highly recommend this tour.
02:09We were not expecting the tour to include a visit to the National Museum, which we had scheduled for
02:14another day, so we got started slowly with the food portion of the tour. The marketplace was a
02:20great place to visit and try some snacks and the restaurant where we tried the Ghanaian food was
02:24really good. We are used to food tours including three to four stops for various dishes, which is why
02:30this is rated as four stars. Our guide and driver were pleasant and provided nice conversation about Accra.
02:38Solid guide and excellent food. Sampling some food in the bustling market was a great,
02:43local experience. The food at a delightful restaurant was really fantastic. Highly recommend,
02:50especially on arrival in Ghana to get a flavor of the cuisine in political-slash-historical context.
02:55Thanks for the quick stop at Guamay Museum, too.
03:00Ransford was an absolute treasure. He was polite, intelligent, entertaining and we truly enjoyed the
03:07foods we tried. It's worth your buck. We are very full and very happy. We're definitely
03:13recommend to try local cuisine.
