00:00Side note, do you think Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson are having good?
00:06Megan Thee Stallion don't strike me as a gal that'd stick around if you wouldn't.
00:09I was going to say, and then do you think both of them are enjoying it?
00:13Yeah, I think they're both enjoying it.
00:15I know he is.
00:18I mean, I think she's probably got options.
00:21You think she's a romantic.
00:24I think she's a love, like, I don't know.
00:26And what woman isn't?
00:27I don't think that's high.
00:28I don't think it's a deal-breaker if it isn't the best she's had.
00:32I don't think it's a deal-breaker for me.
00:33Well, I'm not saying that Klay's the – I mean, he's walking around winning awards in a sack.
00:38No, yeah, I don't –
00:38I mean, they're playing golf together and stuff.
00:41I know she's – I think it's good.
00:44It's not the best she's had.
00:46Well, I mean, why is that?
00:48You don't think Klay brings it?
00:51I don't see that.
00:52I mean, what's wrong with Klay?
00:54I don't know.
00:54What is it about Klay that makes you think –
00:56Klay is as much, I think, the experience maybe she's been able to muster.
01:01I think she's had most gentlemen bringing their best to the table.
01:06And I don't know if Klay's the best that she's rolled to.
01:09I just wonder that sometimes.
01:10I wonder if they're both enjoying it.
01:12Same thing I feel with Taylor and Travis.
01:13I don't think it's possible to probably meet that standard, you know,
01:18the longer you're together.
01:19But I think Klay probably got there once.
01:22I think Taylor is enjoying it, loves it.
01:27Travis?
01:27I don't know Taylor's.
01:28I don't know if Travis has.
01:30I don't know.
01:31I don't know.
01:31Like, I don't know if Travis is like, this is good.
01:34But I don't know about the old history.
01:38I think Travis has probably matured and grown a little bit.
01:41A little bit more, yeah.
01:42I think the love carries through.
01:44I think there was a time where that was the most important part of what he was doing.
01:48I think probably right now he's probably thinking about her bank account,
01:53probably thinking about.
01:54I don't think he's thinking that.
01:55Oh, there ain't no doubt he is.
01:56He's crazy if he's not.
01:57I think he's probably thinking that she's probably going to be a pretty good mom.
01:59Next line said he's a splash brother.
02:01She's probably a pretty good mom.
02:03She probably hadn't been ran through like.
02:06Those are pleasant.
02:07You know, I mean, those are all.
02:08You know, as you get older and you start realizing, man,
02:10you'd play in days on and off the field or come to an end,
02:12and you might want to change your, your, what am I looking for here?
02:18Qualifications, you know?
02:19Yeah.
02:20That guy right there.
02:21I like that one right now.
02:23That guy right there is not knocking down Taylor.
02:25That is not.
02:26That is not the guy.
02:27It's a different guy.
02:29It's a different guy right now.
02:30That guy.
02:31That guy.
02:32That's keeping the, that's the, oh, what's with the cold girl.
02:35Taylor's listening to that guy going, what in the hell is that climate?
02:38Hey, I'm telling you, when we had this live, that parade,
02:41I thought he may have lost her then.
02:45When he was blitzed, that had to be the first time her and her,
02:50everybody's seen it.
02:50So her family gets to watch it.
02:52I thought he may have messed that up.
02:54Well, she's up there with crazy ass Brittany.
02:56She's all right.
02:57I mean, she clearly has a low standard when it's not,
02:59let's say her standard's not as high as one would think it is with Taylor.
03:04I hear you.
03:04Text line coming in.
03:05Taylor has some length.
03:07Maybe that's something that he hasn't really dealt with before with the
03:11legs or something.
03:12Okay.
03:12Oh, yeah.
03:13Yeah.
03:14Wow.
03:16I mean, relatively speaking, relatively speaking,
03:19I can see where your eyes are going.
03:22I'm just telling you.
03:23You've had a flashback.
03:23Let's let's.
03:24It's all relative.
03:25It's all.
03:25It's like warming.
03:26Relatively speaking.
03:27Yes.
03:28If you, if you bumped into his last two up against side by side,
03:32you're going to start with Taylor's length.
03:34And, and you ain't going to go much further.
03:36Chief.
03:37I mean, I'm just being honest, unless he's into pasty, you know,
03:43more pasty, less tan.
03:45I mean, no offense, Taylor, but it just is Isaiah on YouTube.
03:49Isaiah on YouTube.
03:50Travis is so whipped.
03:51He probably has to beg for it.
03:53I don't think Travis is begging for it.
03:55I don't either.
03:55Nope.
03:56I think he's whipped.
03:56I'd certainly do.
03:57I certainly believe that.
03:59I don't think he's begging for it.
04:01Let's hope they're both enjoying it.
04:03I know she is.
04:05Um, all right.
04:07The rockets.
04:07Get down.
04:09The rockets last night.
04:10Let me pull the train back.
04:12Let's get back on the track.
04:14Rockets.
04:14I was disgusting.
04:15Is that conversation?
04:16Yeah, they were.
04:17No, they weren't.
04:17They were worse.
04:18They were much worse than that.
04:20Um, your doka is having some, some problems, right?
04:23I mean, listen, you, you're not going to win them all.
04:25That, that is a, that is not Steph Curry walking out there.
04:29That was not Jimmy Butler walking out there.
04:31That was a bad golden state team, uh, that has been getting crushed by most teams they've
04:37played that are any, that are worth a damn.
04:39And they came in here and they made all the plays late and they were able to win this game.
04:46One 15, one 13 Draymond and others, uh, out there to do those things.
04:51And, and, and I'll tell you, one of the things that jumped out to me, Clint was Udoka patterns
04:58himself, patterns himself on defense.
05:00That's what he's about.
05:00He's a defensive guy, defensive coach.
05:02That's the, that's what the culture is.
05:06That is what the identity of the team is.
05:09The amount of times I saw Kevin Durant pissed going off on, on people because something was
05:17off.
05:17Something was Jabari Smith in overtime on a old dude.
05:22He made a three and then he didn't switch apparently to what Kevin wanted him to do.
05:26Didn't switch and got a layup to scores.
05:28Kevin is going off.
05:30He went off on Josh Kogi.
05:32He went, he was hot.
05:33And as a defensive coach, you would, you would think they've got that down when we're in
05:39game, I don't know, 50, 60, something like that.
05:41That, that was what jumped out the most, you know, other than them losing a game, they got
05:45no business losing.
05:46Well, to me, there's, there's two positives out of the deal, right?
05:49One, you're talking about Kevin Durant going off, Kevin Durant being animated, Kevin Durant
05:53kind of holding guys accountable, I think is a huge plus and absolutely necessary for
05:58this team.
05:58And then obviously Reed Shepard having a night, um, I mean, scoring at all three levels.
06:03I mean, doing his thing from, from, from the, from distance, you know, the floaters in the
06:07lane, getting to the rack.
06:08I mean, he's, he's, uh, he's really, really coming.
06:10And so I think, I think it's, it's, it was a promising night from that perspective, but
06:15like you said, down the stretch to get to, to end up losing, to end up having fewer points
06:19than that team with the injuries that they've got right now with guys that aren't on the floor
06:23for him.
06:23That, that's a, that, that just can't happen.
06:25I mean, that's a crying ass shame, you know, but let's be honest, Ron, let's be honest.
06:29I mean, you got KD, Reed, Shepard and Shingoon on the floor.
06:32You, you are not a defensive juggernaut.
06:34You are not going to be a defensive juggernaut.
06:36No, I know, no, but that, but this was just communication.
06:40This was, this, this, this wasn't just getting, getting beat, right?
06:43But this was Smith and, and Durant in, in, in big time game time where you got to have
06:48a stop.
06:49And it was just communication that they were getting beat.
06:52And I'm, I've not seen Kevin lose it.
06:55Kevin probably lost it three or four times last night.
06:58I love it.
06:58And I just hadn't seen, and they were all, they all seem to be on the defensive end.
07:03He almost threw a, threw into a turnover to end the third quarter.
07:06He just threw the ball in.
07:08He was so pissed off.
07:10I sure would appreciate if he had hit them free throws.
07:12Yeah.
07:13At least that first one.
07:14He did hit the one.
07:15He didn't try to hit.
07:16Yeah.
07:16That's right.
07:18I don't know what the hell is going on.
07:19That thing in, didn't he?
07:20Text line again.
07:21This isn't a championship coach.
07:23Well, we discussed that the other day.
07:25Is he made you do a championship coach?
07:27Can I, I will say this though, even out of that, what does that matter?
07:30They fire for championship coaches around the league.
07:32Don't they?
07:32Oh boy, and Denver didn't last long.
07:33Oh boy, Milwaukee didn't last long.
07:35Yeah.
07:35If it's one of them championship coaches, there's a couple of them in the booth right now.
07:38Well, that's what I said.
07:39I said is, we talked about this earlier when you were out, is Udoka, is he a championship
07:45coach?
07:46Or is he the guy that you hire to fix your program?
07:48Yeah.
07:48And then hand it off to the, like Pat Riley made Stan Van Gundy do.
07:54Pat fired him mid-season and stepped in himself and won that championship with D. Wade and
08:00Shaq.
08:01I hope they don't do that to you.
08:02I don't think he's that.
08:04I don't think old Tillman's going to do that.
08:06No, I don't think he's going to do that.
08:07But, no, man, it was...
08:09Rafael got that in him?
08:10Not a chance.
08:11He don't have more.
08:13I ain't talking about the firing.
08:13I'm talking about stepping in and coaching.
08:14Yeah, Rafael, no, Rafael doesn't have more power than the coach.
08:18But, I think one thing that we have to start to at least kind of look at is, when we
08:26think
08:27about all these young players that they have, the reason why all the people are people talking
08:31about, keep this team together, keep this team together, is Reed Shepard the best of
08:37these young players?
08:39I mean, I think he's...
08:40Like, I mean, I think that's at least a conversation.
08:43I'm talking...
08:44I'm not talking about Tari Eason.
08:46I'm talking about Shingun, Amin, Jabari, all of the top five picks that they had, the
08:52guys that we kind of thought were going...
08:54Because Reed Shepard last night, he just looks and is moving different.
08:58This is not just a spot-up shooter anymore.
09:00This is...
09:01This dude has...
09:03Has it.
09:04Yeah.
09:05Look, I mean, you know where I stand on it, man.
09:07I think when you look at Shingun and you look at Amin Thompson, they are obviously really
09:12good in push-it, push-it, push-it, push-it type of ball.
09:16Just out-hustle, out-grind everybody.
09:20But, you know, I'm not a big fan of the isolation game.
09:23I'm not a big fan of, in the NBA, a guy handling the ball a large percentage of the
09:28time that looks like a fish out of water handling the ball a large part of the time.
09:31So, my eye just enjoys and leans towards the Reed Shepard just having control, being able
09:42again to stretch the defense because he can shoot from depth.
09:45I mean, there was another game last night where the commentators are like, hey, man, they
09:48better guard that guy.
09:49They're talking about Reed Shepard.
09:50By the way, he went back to the bench when Jabari played last night.
09:53Did he not start?
09:54No, he didn't start.
09:55That's about right.
09:56That's about part of it.
09:56But he did play.
09:57He did play 30-something minutes.
09:59They were in overtime, but...
10:00Well, it just shouldn't happen.
10:01He should start.
10:01I mean, you give him a job, man.
10:03At the end of the day, that's where they ought to be.
10:05But the point is, is when he's on the floor, I mean, it seems to me, and again, I've not
10:11been to a game, but it seems to me watching games that when Reed Shepard's on the floor,
10:15there's a whole different buzz in the building.
10:16There's a whole different buzz on the bench.
10:18Because you know at any point in time, if he gets hot, not only is he going to knock
10:21down shots, but he's also going to stretch the defense and create opportunities for
10:24everybody else.
10:25And there's just, to me, he's the only one with that combination, other than obviously Durant,
10:30which he's going to get all the attention anyway.
10:31So, I would, I don't know if I'd say, I mean, those other guys have shown some real upside.
10:37But he's definitely trending in the right direction.
10:39I just, when you watch him, like last night, he had 30 and six last night, three rebounds,
10:43right?
10:43In his 37 minutes, they really played him, you know, obviously a lot more.
10:48He's out there.
10:49And he's hitting, I mean, the threes, he's hitting shots.
10:52He's hitting them off the dribble.
10:53He can, he, I think, and B. Scott said it, I think he's the best pick and roll guy they
10:58have, right?
10:59It has to help Shingun, who was getting cardio in the first three quarters of the game before
11:05he decided to come out and appreciate him coming out in the fourth quarter at the end
11:08of the fourth quarter in overtime.
11:09But hopefully he got his cardio.
11:11I'd like to see what his Fitbit said afterwards, but he's opening up space for him.
11:15It is just one.
11:17You're right.
11:17He should be starting that silly, but you're looking at this.
11:20He's like, he, he already appears potentially to impact the game more than Jabari does because
11:26Jabari is more playing off of everybody else.
11:30And obviously a men's game is different and his impact is different because of what he
11:36can do on the defensive end of things.
11:38And, you know, I don't know what's happening with Shingun.
11:41All right.
11:42Another 17 and seven last night.
11:43We did give you seven assists.
11:45Good for him.
11:46Raymon just couldn't get that six rebound for you too.
11:48But yeah, so I got read, read, read shepherd, read shepherd potentially may be better than
11:55all of them.
11:57And I know this is early with, with Shingun, who's a two-time all-star of the way he's
12:01playing, but that like last night in particular, I was like, yo, man, this, this dude looks,
12:07this looks different.
12:08This isn't just, Hey man, go stand over there and spot up.
12:11No, he is creating that.
12:13One thing that they really need is somebody who can create offense.
12:17That's not Kevin Durant.
12:18Yeah.
12:19And Kevin Durant can go through possessions with read shepherd out there and they get
12:23good shots where Kevin Durant is not the initiator.
12:26Yeah.
12:27Well, when they started, when they Ron, when they started that comeback mountain, that
12:30comeback in that, and I guess it was a third or early fourth, whatever it was, when they
12:33closed the gap and tied it up, um, hell Katie was on the bench.
12:37Yeah.
12:38I mean, he was on the bench and Reed was, was, was handling the rock and running the
12:41show.
12:42And so, yeah, I don't know, man.
12:44I, when I look at it, I really liked Jabari Smith.
12:46I'm, I'm still really high on Jabari Smith, but I think they just play to me.
12:49It's Jabari doesn't handle the ball well enough to even be, to fairly judge him in the conversation
12:54with the other three guys.
12:55The other three guys are, are constantly the other three guys being I'm in Shingun and
12:59Reed there.
12:59They're there.
13:00They've all been given the opportunity to handle the ball and opportunities to ISO opportunities,
13:05to create opportunities.
13:06And I just don't, when I look at it, I don't, to me, Reed Shepard is significantly more comfortable
13:11and more capable in that role right now.
13:13Today, Reed looks like he has a, I'm not saying it now.
13:16He has a chance to be just more than a role player.
13:20Agreed.
13:21Agreed.
13:21As he certainly was that last night.
13:23I mean, he's just banged 30 off the bench.
13:25Yeah.
13:25And, and I, if you heard Draymond last night, Draymond was like, I, I love that kid.
13:30He threw the middle fingers up to everybody with his play this year.
13:33We talked about him.
13:34He said, you can tell he's a gym rat because he's gotten a lot better with his game.
13:38And that's the other part is, is Reed clearly is working.
13:41Like it's, it, you can see the confidence growing every single game out.
13:45So I think, I think that's at least a conversation.
13:47I think a lot of people was looking at this as a, yo, a, uh, Reed, you know, a Shingun,
13:54that's
13:54the centerpiece.
13:54I don't know, but this Reed Shepard, dude, he keeps playing like this.
13:57He gets the opportunity.
13:58If his coach doesn't stop him, he gets the opportunity.
14:00They got something there.
