00:00There is no let-up in the Department of Health Cordillera office's vaccination program to provide greater protection to children
00:06against the lethal health menaces of measles and rubella, otherwise known as German measles.
00:12And just about every household or family in the coverage area and elsewhere has taken their kids to avail of
00:18the free immunization.
00:19Still, records from the DOH show a low percentage of inoculated kids in the region, despite a ramped-up information
00:26campaign.
00:27As a result, the DOH office in the region is stepping up its measles-rubella supplemental immunization activity
00:33to curb or arrest the spiking cases of measles and rubella of late.
00:38The latest update lists a dozen confirmed cases of measles from the period January 4, ending February 21.
00:46For its part, the DOH intends to inoculate 150,000 young arms in the region by end of June this
