Thirty-four Kuomintang staff members have been sentenced for their role in a recall forgery case. They were found to have copied signatures from a member directory for recall petitions targeting ruling Democratic Progressive Party lawmakers last year.

00:11but nearly all of them received suspended sentences. The court said the workers copied
00:16signatures from their member directory for recall petitions targeting ruling Democratic
00:20Progressive Party lawmakers last year. The KMT has called the sentencing excessive.
00:26The verdict can be appealed.
