Rotamaster Witold Pilecki (1910-1948) - soldier of the Armia Krajowa, the Polish Army cavalry officer, the prisoner and organizer of the resistance movement in Auschwitz-Birkenau. In 1940, Witold Pilecki voluntarily went to Auschwitz in order to create a resistance movement there. Escaped out of that terrible place in 1943, later published the world's first report documenting the Holocaust- so called Reports Pilecki. Accused and convicted by the communist government Poland to the death penalty, murdered in 1948. He fought about free Poland, among others in the September Campaign, the Italian Campaign, the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. Polish hero.

W 1940 roku Witold Pilecki udał się dobrowolnie do obozu w Auschwitz, aby stworzyć tam ruch oporu. Wydostał się z tamtego strasznego miejsca w 1943 roku, wydał później pierwszy na świecie raport dokumentujący Holocaust- tzw. Raporty Pileckiego. Oskarżony i skazany przez władze komunistyczne Polski Ludowej na karę śmierci, stracony w 1948. Walczył o wolną Polskę m.in. w kampanii wrześniowej, kampanii włoskiej, Powstaniu Warszawskim 1944. Bohater Polski.
