00:56from the association uh we've got here in nba for today it's pretty good matchups as well
01:03uh we'll start here with jazz and wizards uh utah here will be an underdog we've got wizards here
01:08three and a half total 243 in that one i think the news here is that trey young may play
01:13in this game
01:13last i checked uh mavericks and magic uh magic here laying nine in this one total sits 229 warriors
01:20and rockets the rockets eight and a half and nine total 214 and a half nets and heat uh we're
01:26seeing
01:26the heat here 12 and a half 13s popping up total 226 and a half and uh one two three
01:32we'll end the
01:32block with the pistons and spurs spurs three and a half total 228 and a half we'll take a look

01:38injury reports here for these games here uh we go to dallas and orlando uh looks like it'll be
01:44bagley out for dallas flag is is questionable uh williams thompson and nazi marshall are all
01:50probable for orlando it is wagner out carter and black questionable utah and washington marketing just
01:57out here for utah for washington davis george russell star with chevitz watkins out gill is
02:04questionable i'm seeing trey young in the starting lineup for this one we go over to the warriors and

03:10everybody's having themselves a good morning i'm looking at that first block uh of games i think
03:15gotta go with the rockets there uh at home uh playing the better ball seven and three um over
03:20the stretch just not like what i've seen from the warriors um covering eight point numbers not what
03:25they've been doing let me get whooped so i don't see that change in there i don't think the
03:29rockets at home win by double digits and then looking at uh detroit taking on the spurs i don't
03:35know i think the spurs are just a whooping everybody no i want to get in front i don't trust
03:39this piston squad out on the road maybe it's a revenge squad as they say um we've seen this
03:44matchup uh back in detroit and it was a 114 103 win for the spurs there i don't see nothing
03:49change
03:51um spurs were uh one and a half point dog in that one and now uh they're a three and
03:55a half
03:55points favorite at home i think there's that much of a difference between these two squads
03:59i'll lay it with the spurs uh in that one i was leading to an under 228 and a half
04:04there uh in that
04:05one so give me the same game parlay give me the spurs and the under in the uh in the
04:10detroit game
04:11and then one more i'm gonna take the jazz here on the money line uh rockets land four no thank
04:18you
04:19or uh washington land four the wizards land four no thank you i'm not laying four with the wizards
04:23i'll take the uh jazz i know the jazz are in their tank-a-thon mode it's the battle with
04:28two and
04:28eights both these teams two and eight last to end games so neither of these teams really want to win
04:35but uh i think it's going to come down to who's got the ball last so give me the jazz
04:39plus the four
04:40in that one lead don't bet your house on it that's right there from ron on over to chris
04:47yeah i agree with that we'll take the jazz either way you want to go points or money line either

04:52um lean more towards the points there but uh wizards just tank it on there and take the over
04:56uh jazz overs have been money neither one of these teams playing any defense there and
05:00the wizards to look like they're not technically tanking are going to try to put up some points there
05:05i don't care if trae young's in the lineup tonight we'll have to see how he meshes
05:08um not mad about his ejection the other night before he even played but um we'll have to see
05:15how he plays with this team they're definitely taking the rockets i don't i don't trust this
05:18i don't like this warriors team missing still missing stuff and everything there i think the
05:23rockets just roll right over him at home uh on that one and then uh definitely not touching that
05:30brooklyn miami game that's your degenerate game of the day there um you know probably lean magic but
05:36i'm probably leaving alone nine and a half is what i've got a little bit too much i just don't
05:41know about this mavericks team i know cooper flag may come back tonight but uh either way i still
05:46would kind of lean towards the magic there in that one there we go with chris and when i think
05:51about
05:51these games here yeah jazz and wizards yeah i can only take the points in this game i know this
05:56these are two of the tanker teams in the conference but i'm in the league wizards here uh defensively
06:02it's just been really bad here getting outscored by 10 points over the past two weeks uh i'll look
06:06here at the utah plus the points uh orlando here uh again it's really tough to lay points especially
06:12but uh with this uh magic with this mavericks team looking like they're going to play some of
06:16their starters here again the question is how long and you put a tag next to these guys you're pretty
06:21much showing your hand that you're probably going to limit their minutes right you're putting
06:25probable tags so expect limited minutes from the starters a lot of a lot of the reserves in the end
06:30of
06:30the game so i'll look for orlando here to make a big run here in the fourth quarter when they
06:34sit
06:34these guys that are tagged as probable there same thing with miami this brooklyn team has gotten
06:40horrible here over the past two weeks they're getting outscored by 19 points a game miami has
06:45been shooting the ball pretty well they've shown they could beat these tanking teams ever since
06:48out of bile got mad when they were up and said we got to beat the teams that want to
06:51lose well
06:52they're gonna they started being these teams that want to lose so uh uh here's another one they're
06:56gonna come get them again i'll take miami laying that number uh boy it's just hard
07:00to back this warriors team the way they've looked uh houston here uh the warriors defense has been
07:06really bad it's got to be really rough over this is thinking this seems to be another play in game
07:10another play in round for this warriors team uh it's just uh i don't know things are really bad
07:14over they failed to cover seven of nine the defense has gotten really bad here
07:19rockets covering four or six with good shooting uh i'll look here at uh houston houston in this game i

07:25cannot back for life of me this warriors team which is the this dysfunctional here i'll look at the
07:31i'll look at the uh spurs the issue here with uh detroit is their three-point shooting it's not getting
07:37fixed 34 for the season uh spurs have covered 10 of 13 with really good defense uh pistons over the
07:44last two weeks hitting just 30 from the three-point line uh spurs in very good offensive defensive form
07:50if you don't look at them in this spot all right let's continue here on this morning show as well

07:55we close out the nba with these final four raptors and t was minnesota's coming down this was seven
08:01uh over actually a seven overnight has come down here to six we're seeing five and a half in this
08:06one total 226 and a half bulls and sons the sons 10 and a half total 224 and a half
08:11down from an
08:12opener of 11 and a half lakers and nuggets you're i believe it's a prime game tonight
08:17the lakers are dogs here we're seeing that denver here five there's a five and a half there's also
08:23a four and a half at bet chris one of the sharp books over overseas total 240 and a half
08:29pelicans
08:30and kings it's new orleans five and a half on the road total sits here at 234 and a half
08:35that's moved
08:36up a point from the opener of four and a half so we had some line movement there i'll take
08:39a look at
08:39the injury reports here from these games and in this block let's see what we're going to go to we're
08:44going to go to toronto here toronto and minnesota it's hefferman murray boils out well brandon ingram
08:50has hit the injury report as questionable joe ingles will be out for minnesota detroit we already
08:56covered that one uh we go over to chicago and phoenix here we've got jayden ivy uh anthony simons
09:03are both out williams smith are all are doubtful here for the bulls giddy and bozelis are questionable
09:11there so a lot of injuries there for chicago uh again guys with tags even if they're healthy if
09:16they play they're telling you right there you're not going to play for very long brooks still out
09:20with that broken hand for phoenix goodwin williams are both out there i think williams lost his starting
09:26role anyway uh i think we're seeing i think so igodaro has been the guy that's been getting all
09:31the minutes there so uh maybe a good thing the lakers didn't get him after all there uh cleaver is
09:36questionable here for the lakers for denver it's uh gordon jones watson out cameron johnson they're
09:43questionable pelicans and kings we've got uh murray out zion and murphy are questionable
09:48force for uh sacramento cardwell and murray are both out of this one uh so there you go looks like
09:55westbrook clifford de rosen reynald are and uh preces achua has been putting up some numbers for this
10:02team there that's going to be your starting line for the kings we go over to rod
10:07for me in this uh this block of games couple i like uh give me the over between uh the
10:11lakers
10:11and denver i don't think any defense played uh when i went to vitals about what 240 it's up to
10:16241
10:17uh i think we well cruised into the uh the 240s there in that one give me the over
10:23uh and then i'll take the suns here uh one of the suns done all year they beat up on
10:29the bad teams
10:29teams with losing records uh they've smashed them uh all season long especially bad defensive teams as
10:35well that are allowing 120 plus points a game like the bulls do uh suns 12 and 0 ats uh
10:42this season
10:43against those bad bad teams so uh sun smash what for me i'll lay the 10 and a half there
10:48and then give
10:49me the pelicans uh you look at the kings as a home dog of six or less uh three and
10:5515 ats wise so
10:57give me the uh new orleans pelicans i'll lay the five and a half would rather have the four and
11:01a half
11:01but hey i'll take the five and a half here i think they cruise to uh they win by an
11:05average about 12
11:06points so i think it's a double digit win for the pelicans there in that matchup there we go
11:13there we go with rod next up over to chris yeah definitely give me the over in the lakers nuggets
11:18we know the lakers have not been playing any defense at all so that's been cashing there
11:22nuggets do pretty well at home there could get some back and forth between these two teams
11:27definitely laying it with the pelicans there i don't like this king's team at all can't trust
11:31them at home can't trust them anywhere i don't care who's out for the pelicans um rather have them
11:35than this king's team and then definitely as rod said smash fought for the for the suns there
11:41this bulls team is just terrible i know the suns haven't really been covering great but we know
11:44what the bulls have been doing here lately so um a lot of missing pieces as well to get up
11:49and down
11:49but uh we should have booker back in the lineup there uh he may be i don't know if he's
11:55on any
11:55kind of minutes restrictions or anything but still regardless i think the suns come in here and take
11:59the big win here here we go with chris tell you what i think about these games yeah i can
12:04only look
12:04here at the raptors i just don't trust minnesota here laying numbers here they fail to cover nine of
12:0912 early spots of poor three-point shooting and also three-point defense has been an issue for
12:15minnesota so i'll take the points there with toronto um yeah i can only look at the suns with
12:20booker back in the lineup i mean this bulls team one in six one in six since the break uh
12:25they failed
12:26to cover 13 of 17 with really spots of poor defense suns have won and covered two straight
12:31they're getting healthier as we see it's always not just booker the outfit who's got some guys that
12:35you know royce o'neill they've got guys like colin gillespie uh guys and grayson allen these
12:40are guys that contribute are going to work hard they're going to work hard for contract i mean
12:43some of the guys other than booker some of the guys that i've mentioned they don't make a lot of
12:47they make a lot of they don't make a lot of money compared to the other players in the league
12:50they've got it they got a ceiling they can reach if they pull up their numbers so these are
12:54important these are important um games for these guys guys like grayson allen you know looking for more
12:59money in their contracts so i haven't really deep they'll dig into the contracts that we i know there's a
13:04bunch of guys out there on expiring contracts and these role players are the ones that really need
13:08to have a good showing at the end so i always keep an eye on those guys i know when
13:12we talk about
13:12starting pitchers in baseball for me and nba it's about the role players uh on expiring contracts and
13:18you look for their games and stuff because they feel the pressure of trying to increase they could
13:21you get a big bag in the nba the bags are pretty big so uh they're from role player just
13:26to starter
13:27uh it's pretty impressive so i'll keep an eye guys like grayson allen wilson neal those guys i think
13:32they're gonna allow phoenix to get that over that number boy lakers denver man i was going back and
13:36forth with this one uh tough game to me tough game to predict because denver is dealing with a lot
13:40of
13:41injuries right if they're healthy they're a go jamal murray you know jamal murray is carrying a lot of
13:45the load for the team man uh you know he's really doing a lot but they're not they're not getting
13:50the
13:50results you think they would but um all i can only look here at the uh at the uh lakers
13:55in that plus
13:56five role here uh for them to to uh cover this number and they have a plus five net since
14:02the
14:02break but again this is the spots we worry about the lakers when they play the elite competition
14:06right they've been beating the good to below average teams and tankers pretty well but these
14:11are the games where they always have their trouble but i'll look to take the points here
14:15uh pelicans kings yeah i can only look one way now this king seems can't make a three-point shot
14:20whatsoever uh they fail to cover a six of nine with bad defense at sacramento and you know they've
14:25been big dogs in a lot of these games not covering and they've been getting smoked they've been getting
14:28smashed pelicans have covered five or six with good three-point shooting now the laker game
14:32i'm giving a credit for cover because if you got the best number in that game 10 you would have
14:37covered nine even at nine you uh you wouldn't have lost that game you would have covered the 10 point
14:41spread in that game yeah that's when it opened uh so uh i'll look at the pelicans in that one
14:45all

14:50college basketball here and uh well let's see we got some we got some early games we got today here
14:56on the bundle on the card matter of fact i don't think my line service they don't update some of
15:01these games here on my line service because i know i think there was something really early today let me

15:37here well actually there's a lot of games so we'll start we'll stop at seven eastern in this first block
15:41here because there's a ton of games today so we'll start here 4 30 eastern time and we'll include
15:47the games here at uh 7 30 eastern time so uh 4 30 include the 7 30 eastern games of
15:54course we got we
15:55got uh arch madness here with missouri valley conference in there a lot of conference tournaments
15:59in here today uh with the metro atlantic that's a wild that if you ever fall at that tournament over
16:05the years that's an upside down tournament with the bottom seats are the ones that usually advance in
16:09these these tournaments uh we've had a lot of we've had some losing teams make the tournament
16:14from the metro atlantic so this is a crazy upside down conference keep an eye on that one there
16:18all all played on neutral courts there let's see let's see other games that we have here they're
16:24of note uh these are all small these are all small conference tournaments here in this first block
16:31so uh there you go so we'll get to start here with rot yeah first one i'm looking at here

16:37james madison i know it's their uh second half of back to back against the u.s uh southern miss

16:42uh southern miss had their double bye and they get the uh spot into this into right here um james
16:48madison madison yesterday beat uh ull beat the raging cajuns and the punch there beat them up really
16:54bad punch their ticket here another two-point favorite i think they are the better team coming
16:59into this one i'll lay the two points with uh jamu in that uh conference tournament even with the uh
17:04in the back-to-back spot i think they are the better squad so give me jamu in that one
17:11another one i'm looking at uh in this block of games i like navy i'm going to take the under
17:16their defense is absolutely just rock solid and going against the bucknell team i see you lay at 16
17:21i'll lay the 16 i think navy wins by 20 plus i think bucknell is going to have a tough
17:26tough day score
17:27uh any offense whatsoever especially against this navy uh defense that's been absolutely lights out so
17:34give me navy give me the under i also like uh holy cross here getting seven here on the road
17:40uh you look at lehigh what they do after a big 10 plus point win they don't cover numbers uh
17:460-10
17:47ats wise is lehigh up a big 10 plus point win and holy cross they got for these games
17:52uh keep things close uh grab holy cross plus the seven in that one give me the road duck
17:59um another one i'm looking at here is uh look at jamble nose diving off a cliff of what they've
18:04been doing three and seven last uh 10 games i'll take two lane they've been picking up their
18:08playing out on the road six and three straight up six and three against the number and you're
18:12gonna give me five i'll take two lane plus the uh five points there in that matchup
18:18moving along give me delaware here at home taking on sam houston sam houston six and seven straight up
18:24uh on the road 10 and three against the number because they've been getting big giant numbers
18:28they're laying seven here on the road against the delaware squad that's been uh making people money
18:33they're uh 15 and 13 ats wise seven and three ats wise last 10 games and as a home dog
18:39i'll take
18:39delaware plus the uh seven they're in that one yeah we go go on their block from rod we move
18:45on over to
18:46a couple look here sacred heart iona iona 12 and 8 in conference there that's the only way i can
18:53look there uh sacred heart just not covering in that one so i'll take them and then uh the other
18:59one i'm looking at in this time block tulsa east carolina with my pirates there um pirates have
19:04been covering a little bit better in conference nine and seven overall there tulsa's about a 50 50 team
19:09if you look at them there um so i'll take uh see i'll take the points there with east carolina
19:16there we go with chris i'll tell you what i like here in this first block of games here
19:19i'm going to back continue to back liberty their numbers are just too strong here offensively and
19:24defensively louisiana tech last in offensive efficiency they turn the ball over uh can't
19:29make threes can't make two 66 percent at the line and this is a team that can't defend three-point
19:33line uh liberty number one an offensive officially in the conference here and on defense uh good two-point
19:40defense from the flames and my goodness this louisiana tech team in very bad offensive form
19:45here from the three-point line i'll look at the liberty in this spot in the missouri valley i'll
19:50take valpo lay this short number against indiana state this is the indiana state team that turns
19:54the ball over in conference they struggle on the glass they don't make their free throws at 64 percent
19:59and they're eighth in the defensive officially in the in the missouri valley uh giving up 55 percent
20:06from two-point distance and not forcing turnovers uh so i'll look here at valpo to cover that number
20:12i'll look for also um in this okay that's gonna do it for me in this block too in this
20:17block all
20:17right let's continue here on the tonic's morning show closing out uh college chips with these final
20:21games on the board we go here from 8 eastern go all the way to the late night games the
20:26hawaii game
20:27tonight at midnight eastern time some of the notables here would include michigan and iowa michigan up to
20:33nine on the road here total 147 and a half uh this looks like a smasher for michigan state lane
20:39about 20 at
20:40home against rutgers terrible rutgers here uh there so we'll see what else we have south florida
20:45memphis been a rough year for memphis but at home they're getting six and a half now seeing sevens
20:50in this one south florida on the road laying that many at memphis let's see how that run worlds uh
20:55what
20:55else do we have here well your late night degenerate has riverside and hawaii hawaii 11 and a half at
21:01home
21:01in that midnight eastern game and uh let's see that seems other than that we have a lot of conference
21:08action involved here as well in this late slot we see the wcc making their appearance with pepperdine
21:14in portland it's always the ugly games the first the first round of games are always ugly in the uh
21:21in the wcc yeah there uh so we're gonna start here with rod i don't know everyone's jumping on
21:27northern iowa that's all i've heard northern iowa northern iowa they won by 14 and 16 and they're
21:32laying 14 and a half that's right on that number i'll take evansville plus the 14 and a half um
21:37to
21:37keep it close i think uni wins but uh burns a lot of people's parlays today that have jumped on
21:42that
21:43because that's all i've seen everywhere a lot of social people everybody's on uni today um expected
21:48to win by 20 plus uh evansville like i said it was a 14 point win for uni and a
21:5316 point win this
21:54season in those two games i think evansville keeps it close here in this uh conference tournament
21:59battle give me the 14 and a half road dog there i like csu northridge here uh csu baker's just
22:06awful
22:07um csu is the better squad i got them by double digits when was the last time the road runners
22:13got
22:13themselves a win it's been a while they only have had eight of them this season so uh seven and
22:19a half
22:19is not enough you need a double digits for me to be back in the road runners there give me
22:22uh
22:24csu northridge another one i like here uh give me uh abilene christian here heading into uh cal
22:32bat cal bat laying nine here in this one i know at home they're 14 and 0 but they're uh
22:37six and eight
22:38against the spread uh eight and two straight up i think abilene christian comes in and covers that
22:43number cal bat wins by four not nine uh we get a ab christian cover there another one i like
22:50here
22:51in this block of games where is it where is it i'll take uh cal poly taking on the ant
22:56eaters here
22:57should be a good game between these two squads cal poly six to four last hand and either seven and
23:02three but cal poly seven and three ats last ten games and you give me nine and a half they
23:08get
23:08off from three yeah i got a good shot to outright just so i'll take cal poly plus the uh
23:13nine and a
23:13half and that one and then i'm sorry uh bye bye jack rabbits give me the chommies i think the
23:19chommies win by uh double digits there in that one i think they're just that much the better squad
23:24not the same jack rabbit squad that we've seen over the uh last few seasons san haleo state's gonna
23:29struggle there i'll take the chommies lay the sixth in that matchup yeah you know it's funny
23:34you mentioned bakersfield uh they've struggled ever since they've come into d1 of course you know
23:38there's a california school so i look at they came in in 2008 they've already been in division
23:42one for 19 years my goodness how long i can't believe they've been there and they've been
23:49horrible every every year they i they've they not even sniff a conference side they probably have a
23:53losing record every year since they've been into d1 they were very good d2 school because they would
23:58always be on cbs a lot when they played that d2 championship game back in the day they'd always be
24:02in that d2 championship game but that success did not translate over to d1 unfortunately for
24:07bakersfield uh so we next up we move right on over to chris i'm gonna look at this uh michigan
24:13iowa game there we'll take the over you look at the last nine games that michigan's played on the
24:17road against iowa it's eight and one to the over there so i think we get a lot of back
24:20and forth
24:20there even if michigan has to do heavy lifting i think we get up and over that total there uh
24:25the
24:25other one i'm looking at usf south florida versus memphis memphis has failed to cover the last six
24:32in a row i don't think they're going to turn this around today so i'll take uh south florida on
24:37the
24:37road there about six and a half with them just don't trust this memphis team at all um south
24:42florida has been a little bit more consistent uh covering looks like four and one in the last five
24:49excuse me so give me uh south florida with six and a half there we go with chris i'll tell
24:54you
24:54what i think about these games i'm gonna go western kentucky lay this short number against missouri
24:57state missouri state has lost seven straight with really bad defense the wheels are falling off this
25:03missouri state team uh really bad right now 10th in effective physical defense this is in the
25:08conference usa uh a team that turns the ball over they don't make their free throws western kentucky
25:13is number one in defensive of fishing in the conference usa they force turnovers defend the
25:17three very well and on offense they hit their free throws and they secure the basketball and they've
25:22won six straight so team winning six straight facing a team that lost seven straight you're getting
25:26them to just lay two give me western kentucky in that one boy this michigan-iowa game i'm just so
25:31tempted taking the point i'm just gonna take it with iowa plus a lot of points here with iowa
25:35i know michigan's a smash team but we're kind of getting to the time of the year where their eyes
25:39are now on the bigger prize which is the ncw tournament conference tournament coming up i can
25:44see this a bit of a bit of a letdown i went home playing you know a lot of home
25:48excitement here coming
25:48in one thing with i one thing with the hawkeyes they do shoot the ball very well at home and
25:53uh
25:55michigan's a team that does turn the ball over a bit uh there and uh i'll look at i'll look
26:01at the hawkeyes here covering this number i think this is a buy low spot on memphis i'm going to
26:05take
26:05the six and a half and you can find seven here i know memphis had their problems but you have
26:09to
26:09respect the fact that they are number one in effective field goal defense in the conference
26:13they do defend the three ball well they force turnovers defensively we know south florida is a
26:17juggernaut offensively but they do give up 35 percent from three but when you look at usf's recent form
26:22over the last month there's 43 percent shooting overall 31 percent from three so this is this may be the
26:29spot to go against them here uh against the tigers team that is really desperate here to do something
26:34at home and i think this is kind of a buy low spot because usf shooting has kind of fallen
26:38off here
26:39the last month and we're getting some defense at least from memphis um it's hard to tell me that
26:44they've kind of given up because you're getting they're still providing they're still giving you
26:47defense and that's the one reason why i'll back them here and i think a buy low spot with memphis
26:52uh yeah the timmies i agree with rod i mean this is uh i could only they're a really good
26:57team but
26:57i don't know if this number is clipping up to six i'll kind of stay away from that one up

28:17bobrovsky being one of them surprisingly that florida's about to move uh away from bobrovsky
28:22after winning the back-to-back cups which is uh that's been the rumor that he's gonna go somewhere
28:27else they're looking for someone for him rumored to be montreal for montalbo but uh we'll see if that
28:33comes to the light but hey looking at today's hockey for me in first game up on the card i'm

28:41with florida here taking on columbus you look columbus what third game four nights they've been playing a lot
28:45of hockey and florida's just been dominant over this uh blue jacket squad they've won nine straight
28:50so don't let that chew an eight number fool you on the florida panthers and the defending champs
