00:00This is our final episode of Signs and Secrets of the Messiah.
00:04I've enjoyed every moment of this journey with you so far,
00:08but we aren't slowing down now.
00:11This is the second part of our journey
00:13into the signs and the secrets of the Nets.
00:16Last episode, we uncovered how faith and fear are connected.
00:21We learned about God's heart for a unified people,
00:24and we saw what can happen practically in our lives
00:28when we attune ourselves to the voice of the Spirit, the Ruach.
00:33Just like the waters that the disciples are fishing,
00:37this miracle goes deep.
00:40We're going to start by exploring a key detail
00:43in the miracle of the Nets.
00:45Why did the disciples catch exactly 153 fish?
00:51The answer is more profound than you would ever imagine.
00:55We're exploring all of this right now
00:59on our finale episode of Signs and Secrets of the Messiah.
01:06Signs and Secrets of the Messiah.

01:08Give me more ¿",
01:30but I will love you,
01:36Last episode, we took a dive into the significance
01:40of the disciples listening to the voice of Yeshua
01:43and the importance of throwing the net over the right side of the boat.
01:48We saw how the net itself can represent a unified church
01:53with believers working together instead of causing division.
01:57Now I want us to pivot to this crucial detail
02:01about this miracle that is hidden in plain sight.
02:06The scripture says that when the disciples hoisted up
02:09this massive net of fish, it was full to the point of breaking.
02:14You know this, but it also specifically tells us
02:18how many fish were caught, 153.
02:22This isn't a random detail.
02:24The secret of 153 fish is the key to unlocking
02:29the identity of Yeshua and bringing so many new details
02:34about his character to light.
02:38To understand the clue of the 153 fish,
02:42I need to clue you in a little bit on Jewish practices.
02:46Today, the Jewish community reads the Torah,
02:50the five books of Moses every year.
02:53Jewish people gather to hear specific verses on a schedule.
02:58It's a beautiful tradition.
03:00Think about that.
03:01A whole community reading God's word together.
03:08At the end of the biblical holiday of Sukkot,
03:11there's a day called Simchat Torah,
03:14which can be translated as rejoicing with the Torah.
03:18On Simchat Torah, the people finish reading Deuteronomy
03:23and they celebrate.
03:25So what happens next?
03:27The reading starts back at the beginning.
03:30Literally, Genesis 1-1.
03:32The cycle begins again.
03:35This cycle of Torah readings isn't a new practice though.
03:39In Yeshua's day, they were doing the same thing.
03:44Three and a half years is how long it took
03:47to go through the books from Genesis to Deuteronomy.
03:51Hear these divine scriptures and learn the word of God.
03:56There is a connection here that blows me away.
04:00This cycle of Torah readings,
04:02a tradition that predates Yeshua's birth,
04:07points to him.
04:08But the question is, how?
04:10Yeshua's ministry lasted how long?
04:13Three and a half years.
04:15It took three and a half years
04:17for Yeshua to walk with his disciples,
04:20teach them the deeper true meaning of the Torah
04:24and equip them to apply it to the world
04:28that was all around them.
04:29He was walking alongside the tradition
04:32and giving clarity to the old through a new lens.
04:37The 12 disciples, along with other men and women
04:40who followed Yeshua, were not elite scholars.
04:45Peter and John were fishermen.
04:48How could they amaze the religious elite of their day?
04:52Acts 4.13 says,
04:55Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John
04:58and figured out they were lame and without training,
05:01they were amazed.
05:03They began to realize that these men had been with Yeshua.
05:09Yeshua, over the three and a half years,
05:13walked with his disciples, his Talmudim,
05:16on this earth and taught his followers
05:18every portion of the Torah.
05:22Then he gave them the best understanding
05:26and the deepest insights into the true meaning
05:29of the Torah and the prophets, the Nevi'im.
05:32This is how his disciples became so knowledgeable
05:36that they could preach with such insight and authority
05:39that even the religious leaders were amazed.
05:44These are the kind of incredible connections
05:47that I'm passionate about.
05:49These little details, like the length of Yeshua's ministry,
05:53are deeper than we ever even imagined.
05:57Now you might be wondering
05:58how all of this points to the miracle of the Nets.
06:02Remember how there were 153 fish?
06:05Over the course of the three and a half year Torah reading cycle,
06:10the same cycle that was intertwined with Yeshua's ministry,
06:15the scriptures were broken up into readings,
06:18the weekly Torah portions.
06:20I'll give you a guess as to how many readings there were.
06:27exactly 153.
06:29The precise number of fish in that net
06:32pointed to the truth that Yeshua had taught them the Torah
06:37and that he is the fulfillment of everything
06:40that the prophets predicted.
06:42He is the Messiah, the Mashiach.
06:45He is the Devar Hashem, the Word of God.
06:51I know there are a lot of connections here.
06:55153 fish, 153 Torah readings,
06:59three and a half year reading cycle,
07:01Yeshua's ministry lasting three and a half years.
07:04I get that it's a lot,
07:06but I don't want us to stay in shallow water.
07:10I want us to go deep into the Word
07:12and find all of the connections we can.
07:17153 has so much more significance.
07:20In Isaiah 41, 13,
07:23there's a profoundly reassuring message for all of us.
07:26It says,
07:28For I am the Lord your God
07:30who takes hold of your right hand
07:32and says to you,
07:34Do not fear, I will help you.
07:36The opening of that verse in Isaiah in Hebrew,
07:39Ani Adonai Elohecha,
07:41I am the Lord your God,
07:43equals guess what?
07:45153.
07:46The phrase,
07:48I am the Lord,
07:49Ani Elohim,
07:51also equals 153.
07:53Wow, isn't that incredible?
07:55The number of fish in the net
07:58was a statement of who Yeshua is,
08:01but that's just the beginning.
08:03It not only revealed
08:05His divine identity and divinity,
08:08153 fish is a statement of Yeshua's kingship,
08:12but it reveals even more.
08:14Psalm 24, 8 says this,
08:17Who is the King of glory?
08:19Adonai strong and mighty.
08:22Adonai the Lord mighty in battle.
08:24The phrase,
08:26Melech HaKavod,
08:27King of glory,
08:28has a numerical value of,
08:30guess what?
08:32153.
08:33Because who is the Melech HaKavod?
08:36Who is the King of glory?
08:38It is Yeshua.
08:45The Sea of Galilee actually isn't a sea.
08:49It's actually a fresh body of water.
08:53And I think that's really significant
08:55because, listen,
08:57not only is every detail in the Bible important,
09:00but I believe every detail about the land of Israel,
09:05this is the promised land.
09:07Those details are important.
09:09So I want you to think about this for a moment.
09:11The Sea of Galilee is 13 miles long.
09:16And I believe that's significant and not accidental
09:19because 13 in Hebrew is a numerical value of the word Ahavah,
09:25the numerical value of the word for love.
09:29So in a sense,
09:30the sea can represent love.
09:33And Messiah did so many miracles here
09:35representing God's love for his people.
09:38But the Sea of Galilee is also seven miles wide.
09:44As we've seen,
09:45seven is the number of completion and perfection.
09:49So the length and the width of the Sea of Galilee,
09:5313, love,
09:55seven, perfection or completion
09:57can represent perfect or complete love.
10:01And I believe there's something
10:02that illustrates this even further.
10:04There are two major bodies of water
10:06here in the land of Israel.
10:09One is the Sea of Galilee,
10:10which is teeming with life.
10:13It's a great place to fish
10:15and to just see amazing wildlife.
10:18But the second is known as the Dead Sea
10:21or the Salt Sea.
10:22It's the exact opposite of the Sea of Galilee.
10:26There is actually no fish
10:29and no significant life exists in it.
10:32And it's actually the lowest point in the world.
10:35But what's the connection
10:37between these two bodies of water?
10:40They're both fed by the Jordan River.
10:44Why does one have so much life
10:46and the other is so lifeless?
10:48The Dead Sea is dead
10:50because it takes in the Jordan
10:53but has no outlet.
10:56The Sea of Galilee takes in the water
10:58but allows it to pass through
11:00through the Jordan.
11:02Here's the point.
11:03If you take without giving back,
11:06you'll be as dead as the Dead Sea.
11:10Life, like love, is about giving.
11:14If you're not giving,
11:16you're not living
11:17and you're not experiencing love.
11:20Messiah came and gave everything for us.
11:23He laid down his life.
11:25No greater love in this
11:26than a man lays down his life for his friend.
11:30Like the Sea of Galilee,
11:32Yeshua represents complete and perfect love.
11:38We need to be people who not just take
11:40but give and emulate our Messiah.
11:48We're living in what I'd call a John 21 moment.
11:52The greatest cash the world has ever seen
11:55is about to come.
11:57I believe there's going to be a global awakening
12:00of people coming to faith in Messiah Yeshua.
12:04Now's the time when we need to bring back
12:07the essence of the Torah,
12:09the Jewish roots,
12:10both to the nations
12:12and to those Jewish individuals
12:14who have lost touch
12:16with their heritage and their roots.
12:18The body of Messiah needs a big wake-up call.
12:22I heard a pastor,
12:24a big church leader
12:25with a large following say something like,
12:28uh, we don't really need the Old Testament.
12:31We have a new covenant now.
12:33So really, we should just focus on that.
12:37Honestly, I was shocked.
12:39Think about all the connections we've discovered
12:42along this journey so far.
12:44The depth of what we've uncovered
12:46in the life of Jesus.
12:49Without the Old Testament,
12:50without the Torah
12:52and the prophets
12:53and the writings,
12:55all of that wouldn't be possible.
12:57I'm thankful
12:58that I'm seeing a shift
13:01in this perspective right now.
13:03More and more believers
13:05are coming to realize
13:06the value of the old
13:09and the new coming together.
13:11The greatest catch
13:12that the world has ever seen
13:14is coming.
13:16For followers of Messiah,
13:18Messiah, there's a need to dive deep
13:20into the Jewishness of the Bible.
13:23Meanwhile, there are so many Jewish folks out there
13:27who even with a Jewish lineage
13:29and a few traditions
13:30have lost touch with their identity.
13:34Now, what's that magnet
13:35that could draw both these groups back?
13:38It's understanding scripture.
13:41Dive into Torah
13:42and the links between the Old Testament
13:45and Yeshua's teaching
13:46become crystal clear.
13:49I'm not saying that all Gentiles
13:51have to keep the letter
13:52of the commandments
13:53of the Jewish people.
13:55Not at all.
13:56We are saved by faith and grace,
13:58not the works of the law.
14:02But still,
14:03there's a foundation
14:04to the New Testament
14:06that you can't truly get
14:08without an understanding
14:09of the Hebrew scriptures,
14:11the Old Testament.
14:12Just because Christians
14:14don't live
14:15under the Levitical law
14:17doesn't mean
14:18you should toss out
14:20divine wisdom.
14:21Take a look back
14:22at Acts 21.20.
14:24Luke describes
14:25tons of Jewish believers
14:27still passionate
14:28about the Torah.
14:30They didn't abandon it
14:31when they began
14:32following Yeshua.
14:34Paul said this
14:35in 2 Timothy 3.16 and 17.
14:37All scripture
14:39is inspired by God
14:41and useful for teaching,
14:43for reproof,
14:44for restoration
14:45and for training
14:46in righteousness
14:48so that the person
14:49belonging to God
14:50may be capable,
14:52fully equipped
14:53for every good deed.
14:55This is great
14:56and communicates
14:58how vital scripture
14:59is here.
15:00But don't forget
15:01this key detail.
15:03What we describe
15:04as the New Testament,
15:05the Brit Chadeshah,
15:06hadn't been written yet.
15:08When Paul says
15:09that all scripture
15:10is useful,
15:11he's talking about
15:13the Torah.
15:14Paul says
15:15it's useful
15:16for reproof,
15:18restoration,
15:19and training
15:20in righteousness.
15:21Notice a pattern here.
15:22These things
15:23are practical things.
15:25He didn't just say
15:27it's good for inspiration
15:28or awareness.
15:29He's saying
15:30it's useful
15:31as a tool
15:32to fully equip us.
15:34the first letter
15:36of the Bible
15:37is the letter
15:38Bait in Hebrew.
15:39The last letter
15:40of the Bible,
15:41the letter Nun
15:42and the word Amen
15:43spells the word
15:45Ben, Son.
15:47From beginning
15:48to end,
15:49the Bible points
15:51to the Son.
15:52It's no coincidence.
15:54From start to finish,
15:56the Bible shines
15:57a spotlight
15:58on the Son
15:59culminating in Him.
16:03Now I want
16:04to get practical
16:04for a second
16:05and break down
16:07the path
16:07to abundance
16:08that we can see
16:10in the miracle
16:10of the nets.
16:12God's ready
16:12to give you nets
16:13that don't just
16:15hold a little.
16:16They're brimming
16:17with abundance,
16:18provision,
16:20wisdom,
16:20and so much more.
16:23But for those nets
16:24to be overflowing,
16:25here's what needs
16:26to happen.
16:27You must operate
16:29out of faith,
16:31not fear.
16:32You must operate
16:34out of the power
16:35and direction
16:36of the Ruach HaKodesh,
16:37the Holy Spirit,
16:39not in your strength,
16:40your wisdom,
16:42or according
16:43to your own will,
16:44asking God
16:45to just bless
16:46what you do.
16:48You must find
16:49what God is blessing
16:51and wants to bless
16:52and participate in it.
16:54You must also operate
16:57in love
16:58and relational unity.
17:01Imagine the Holy Spirit
17:02as a powerful river.
17:05When we move
17:06alongside the Ruach,
17:08the Holy Spirit,
17:09harnessing its power
17:11rather than just our own,
17:13the results can be amazing.
17:17Remember the disciples?
17:18They've been trying
17:20to fish on their own
17:21all night
17:21with no success.
17:24Yet,
17:24the moment Yeshua
17:25guided them,
17:26their nets
17:27were on the brink
17:28of tearing
17:29from sheer volume.
17:34We've journeyed
17:36through an array
17:37of miraculous events,
17:39from water morphing
17:40into wine
17:41to profound healings
17:43and surprising provisions.
17:45I've touched on
17:46some of my own experiences, too,
17:48where I was able
17:49to witness
17:50God's miraculous power.
17:52Now, let's get real
17:53for a second.
17:54Do you believe
17:55that miracles
17:57can still happen
17:58in today's world?
18:00I wholeheartedly
18:01believe they can,
18:03and I hope
18:04that you'd embrace
18:05this belief, too,
18:06and let it reshape
18:08your everyday life.
18:09A while back,
18:11I got a call
18:12from a friend.
18:13Her voice
18:14sounded desperate.
18:16One of her close friends,
18:18a man named Gustavo,
18:20was battling leukemia
18:21and things weren't
18:22looking good.
18:23His condition
18:24was deteriorating
18:25at a fast rate,
18:27and the doctors,
18:28well,
18:29they were bracing
18:30for the worst.
18:31As she spoke,
18:32I could feel
18:33the weight
18:34of her words,
18:35but as we started praying,
18:37I felt enveloped
18:39by God's
18:40undeniable presence.
18:42A few days later,
18:43I got a notification
18:45that she'd sent me
18:46an email.
18:47This was her message.
18:49I'm sitting
18:50at the computer
18:51praising God.
18:52Because Gustavo
18:53is sitting right next to me.
18:55He was released
18:56from the hospital
18:56on Thursday.
18:58Just wanted to let you know
18:59a few of the miracles
19:00that have taken place
19:01since you began
19:01to pray last Shabbat.
19:02He was near death
19:04last Saturday.
19:05No one can explain
19:06what happened to him
19:07and why.
19:08The doctors can't explain
19:09why a serious condition
19:10of low blood cell count
19:12that usually lasts
19:13between 9 to 12 days
19:14lasted only 12 hours.
19:16The day you started praying,
19:19his lowest white blood cell
19:20was 1,300.
19:21Now, it's normal,
19:23over 8,500.
19:25Praise Yeshua.
19:26Thank you for your willingness
19:27to be of service
19:28to the God of Israel
19:29in caring for the sick.
19:31Isn't that astounding?
19:33A real tangible miracle
19:35that left even the medical experts
19:38scratching their heads.
19:40These are the moments
19:41I live for.
19:42What amazes me
19:43is the ripple effect
19:45that God creates
19:46when he intervenes.
19:48Not only was this
19:49a testimony
19:50that revealed Yeshua's power
19:52to the doctors,
19:53but this is also
19:54a powerful affirmation
19:56to my friend.
19:59Gustavo was Jewish,
20:00and maybe for the first time
20:02he was able to see
20:03the power of Yeshua
20:05right in front of his eyes.
20:07These miracles
20:08aren't just history.
20:09God is actively
20:11working wonders today,
20:13and he's calling us
20:14to be part of it.
20:16Yeshua performed
20:18these miracles,
20:19but he didn't stop there.
20:21He handed that ability
20:23over to his disciples,
20:25and here's the kicker.
20:27Once we embrace him,
20:29he shares that same power
20:32and authority with us.
20:35I'll put this simply.
20:37We can perform miracles too.
20:40Some folks might argue,
20:42wasn't all that miracle stuff
20:44just for Yeshua
20:46and the disciples?
20:47I can confidently say,
20:49it's not.
20:50I've witnessed
20:51and been part of
20:53some miracles
20:54in my own journey,
20:56and Yeshua made it clear
20:57that this power
20:59isn't limited to a few.
21:00It's available to us all.
21:03He said,
21:04amen, amen.
21:05I tell you,
21:06he who puts his trust in me,
21:08the works that I do,
21:10he will do,
21:12and greater than these,
21:13he will do,
21:14because I'm going
21:15to the Father,
21:16John 14, 12.
21:18Let's rewind a bit.
21:21Yeshua was extraordinary.
21:24John described him
21:25as the Word in human form,
21:27and the Word became flesh,
21:29John 1, 14.
21:30So here we have Yeshua
21:33embodying the perfect blend
21:35of humanity and divinity,
21:37the only one
21:39who's ever been 200%,
21:41100% human,
21:43and 100% divine.
21:46Naturally,
21:46he performed wonders.
21:48The Apostle Paul
21:49sheds some light on this.
21:51In Philippians 2, 5-8,
21:54he writes,
21:54have this attitude
21:56in yourselves,
21:57which was also
21:58in Messiah Yeshua,
22:00who, though existing
22:02in the form of God,
22:03did not consider
22:04being equal to God
22:06a thing to be grasped.
22:08But he emptied himself,
22:10taking on the form
22:11of a slave,
22:12becoming the likeness
22:14of man,
22:15and being found
22:16in appearance
22:17as a man,
22:18he humbled himself,
22:20becoming obedient
22:21to the point of death,
22:23even death
22:24on a cross.
22:26scholars refer
22:27to this idea
22:28as the kenosis doctrine,
22:30coming from
22:31a Greek term
22:32meaning to empty.
22:33What this means
22:35is that Yeshua,
22:36though divine,
22:37chose to let go
22:39of that side of himself
22:40and live fully
22:41as a human.
22:42This is groundbreaking
22:43because it means
22:45that when Yeshua
22:46performed miracles,
22:47he was doing them
22:49as a human,
22:50just like us.
22:51That's a game changer.
22:53It cracks the code
22:55on why Yeshua
22:56empowered us
22:57to do amazing things, too.
23:00Don't let that opportunity
23:01go to waste.
23:05I want to thank you
23:07for going on
23:08this journey with me.
23:09Over these last
23:11eight episodes,
23:12I hope that you've seen
23:14the miracles of Yeshua
23:16in high definition,
23:18that you've seen
23:19how the old
23:20and the new connect,
23:21and that you've understood
23:22that there is
23:23always more.
23:25God is in every detail
23:27of his word,
23:28and there's always more
23:30to be discovered.

25:09than these.
