Watch as a puzzled mother cat pauses mid-meal when her kitten starts chewing the edge of the food bowl instead of eating the kibble inside.
Zhao Lianqing captured the amusing moment in Tiandeng County, China.
The video shows the mother cat calmly eating kibble from a bowl while her kitten stands nearby, seemingly more interested in the rim of the container than the food itself.
Instead of putting its head into the bowl, the tiny kitten repeatedly gnaws at the edge, ignoring the kibble inside.
At one point, the mother cat stops eating, turns her head, and stares at the kitten with a visibly confused expression.
