00:00So this morning we took Esmeralda, our giant LDAP tortoise, off-site to Sash North Ride for a CT and
00:07a endoscope.
00:08We needed to do some advanced imaging and at the moment we currently don't have a CT machine on site
00:14and Sash North Ride was kindly offered us their facility to do this procedure.
00:19Esmeralda is a very special individual to us. She's 109 years old and 135 kgs.
00:25So there's quite a lot of meticulous planning that needs to go into taking such an animal off-site for
00:29specialist imaging.
00:31So we're still waiting for the full comprehensive report from the CT and the endoscope,
00:36but preliminary findings show that her food pipe, basically the area that she intakes her food and goes to her
00:41stomach,
00:42that pipe before the stomach seems to be a bit enlarged.
00:45And the scope allowed us to visualise this and make sure there's no other foreign material in there.
00:50So I just want to thank everyone who was involved.
00:52It's a team effort, you know, it's not a small thing to take a 109-year-old, 135 kg tortoise
00:59off-site.
00:59But everything went off smoothly.
01:01Everyone donated a lot of their time to us and she recovered really well.
