a short video announcing and detailing the end of the KIXEYE game called Vega Conflict. I also share a bit of my history as a long time player of the game.
Transcript
00:02Well, I come before you today to announce something very sad and unfortunate for me personally as an RTS gamer.
00:14Yes, Vega conflict is ending after 13 years with official shutdowns scheduled for May 15th, 2026.
00:26Developer Kisai announced that in-game purchases and support will cease on March 31st, 2026, though the game will remain
00:37playable in a final sandbox state until the servers officially end in May.
00:46Key details regarding the shutdown, March 31st, 2026, purchasing disabled, official support and development ends.
00:56On May 15th, 2026, Vega conflict officially shuts down.
01:05The developers noted the long lifespan of the title compared to the typical RTS games and expressed gratitude to the
01:16community for 13 years of support.
01:23Now, for me personally, I've been playing this game for a very long time, and it's sad to see it
01:31go.
01:32I'm sad to see that it's another game that I've seen shut down.
01:39But I think due to the fact that they have another game called War Commander, which is making its way
01:49over to Steam, I think that maybe has partly to do with shutting down Vega conflict.
01:58I will say I have enjoyed all the time and years that I've spent on a game, building, developing, going
02:10off into space and fighting other fleets.
02:15I will say that towards the end, there wasn't many player bases I could go up against.
02:23It was mostly NPCs and other things of that matter that I had to go up against because my base
02:31and fleets were so advanced due to all the years I've been building it.
02:38But yeah, as a long time player of both this game and the other game, War Commander, it's sad to
02:47see this one go.
02:48So I just wanted to give you guys a video statement as to my feelings on this and how I
02:59feel.
02:59So thank you for watching.
