00:06These colourful creations by Miranda Cuichu are lovingly handcrafted, and they're an impressive piece of kit.
00:12They don't just keep food warm, they continue cooking it without a fire, saving energy and money.
00:23The way the bag works is very simple.
00:26You start cooking the food on the fire, bring it to the boil and then put it in the bag
00:31which we seal airtight.
00:33The cooking then finishes on its own, without effort or a power source.
00:41To ensure they store heat for a long time, the bags are lined with Cameroonian cotton.
00:51Her boutique in Yaoundé sells the thermal bags which are available in a host of colours and sizes.
00:57They cost between 20 and 30 euros.
01:00While not cheap, the subsequent energy savings make up for it, cutting fuel consumption in cooking by up to 70%.
