00:00These are the weapons at the center of a rapidly escalating situation.
00:04Iranian drones and missiles that have targeted the UAE over the past several days.
00:09They are being displayed here at the UAE government media briefing
00:13as part of physical evidence of the attacks,
00:15which officials describe as a direct violation of the country's sovereignty and security.
00:21Authorities say that more than 90% of incoming drones and missiles
00:25have been successfully intercepted by the UAE's air defense systems.
00:29A figure presented as proof of both preparedness and advanced offensive capability.
00:35And what you see in front of you here, this is a tactical ballistic missile,
00:41which is basically a short-range ballistic missile from classed and the designation for it is Qiyam.
00:49And we have intercepted and destroyed hundreds of these ballistic missiles over the last four days.
00:57And if we move up to here, what you see here, the blue wreckage, is basically a cruise missile.
01:06And those threats are normally very challenging for militaries across the world to basically detect and destroy.
01:16But luckily, we were able to detect each one of them and destroy them.
01:23And what you see here is one of the several cruise missiles that we were able to intercept and destroy.
01:29And as I understand it, this is a suicide drone, isn't it?
01:31This is what is left from a suicide drone, and it's called Shahid 136.
01:38We've intercepted hundreds of these over the last few days.
01:44So we hear and see things at the last minute.
01:46But from a military perspective, I think globally it's known that you're seeing these things fairly early.
01:51So you know they're coming in and you're prepared accordingly.
01:54We announced this repeatedly to the public, and we want to reassure the public again.
01:59And if they hear pops and sounds coming out of the sky, that's actually a comforting sound.
02:07It's a comforting noise.
02:09What it means is that the air defense system is functioning properly to intercept, destroy all of these threats.
02:18Silence is actually not good.
02:20The UAE air defense system is very capable of defending the country, and we're very aware of the threats around

02:30We will continue to defend the country, and that's what we're going to do.
