00:02This morning, the back-and-forth attacks are intensifying as the war in Iran enters another day and spreads across
00:08the region.
00:09Iran targeted the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh with a drone early this morning, according to regional officials.
00:15It comes as the U.S. has ordered non-emergency personnel to depart six countries, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq,
00:22Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, and Qatar.
00:25Getting out may not be easy. Much of the region's airspace remains restricted or closed, and multiple airports have suspended
00:32operations.
00:33Thousands of travelers are stranded as airlines cancel flights.
00:37Overnight, explosions rocked Tehran as American and Israeli airstrikes continued.
00:42U.S. Central Command said American forces have destroyed Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps command and control facilities,
00:49air defense systems, missile and drone launch sites, and military airfields since the initial strikes on Saturday.
00:59The Iranian Red Crescent now says at least 787 people have been killed in Iran since the fighting began.
01:06President Donald Trump posted overnight that the U.S. has a virtually unlimited supply of weapons
01:12and said wars can be fought forever using those resources.
01:16Trump administration officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth,
01:22CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and Joint Chiefs Chair Dan Cain,
01:26are set to brief all members of the House and Senate on the situation in Iran today.
01:31Meanwhile, Iran and its allies are expanding retaliatory strikes,
01:36hitting Israel, Gulf states, and targets critical to the world's oil and natural gas production.
01:42Iran continues to block traffic through the Strait of Hormuz,
01:45a waterway that carries about 20 percent of the world's oil.
01:49An Iranian military spokesperson warned any vessels attempting to get through
01:53that they would, quote, set those ships on fire.
01:56Container ships are now stuck in limbo, waiting for new route instructions amid the closure.
02:01Because one-fifth of the world's oil passes through the strait,
02:05financial markets are reacting sharply.
02:07The conflict is also spreading to Lebanon,
02:09where the Iranian-supported militant group Hezbollah and Israel are exchanging attacks.
02:14The Israel Defense Forces also said they completed a series of strikes on Hezbollah command centers,
02:20weapons sites, and communications facilities in Beirut,
02:24including locations they said were operating under civilian cover.
02:28The Lebanese army has redeployed some troops away from the border as the fighting escalates.
