00:00In the end was a comfortable home win?
00:02Yeah, it was a good win and we deserved a victory in the end and scored a couple of good
00:09goals to go with it as well.
00:11I suppose it was just once you got the first, that was the key wasn't it, once you got the
00:14first.
00:15Yeah, it settled us down because it didn't, I mean I'd still like to have created more chances and more
00:21opportunities
00:22but in the main we were, we'd done a good job and kept it, kept it controlled most of the
00:28game for pretty good long periods.
00:35David, just a word on Dwight McNeil's performance tonight, you know he seemed to be involved in everything didn't he?
00:40Yeah, Dwight done great, made his pass, his control, his pass for the second goal to get out and then
00:46he was early to early.
00:47Dwight, he'd done really well and I'm really pleased for Dwight because you know he's probably had a tough time
00:53and different things and just shows you.
00:57But I think the difference tonight in Dwight, I think everybody was, it was very noticeable in his other performances.
01:03His other performances were never at the level that he played tonight so he played much, much better tonight and
01:09I've been saying he's training better and he's getting more confidence.
01:14You know they nearly gave him a standing ovation coming off tonight Dwight so that tells me that everybody in
01:21the house is watching him and they all thought he played well tonight and he did, he'd done a great
01:24job.
01:25And the icing on the cake being greedy would have been that goal from Garnagay, I mean what a goal
01:30that would have been.
01:31Yeah, well I think, as I said, I think the likes of Ellie in Ghana both done really well tonight
01:37and Cian Dewsbury Hall who'd come back from injury, the two boys were away in AFCON and obviously Cian who
01:43had an injury for about six weeks.
01:46We missed them greatly over around that sort of December and January period and we couldn't really get any rhythm.
01:53The last couple of games we've started to show a bit more rhythm in my football.
01:58I'm still feeling that I could do with just getting a bit more in the, a little bit more in
02:03the final third where we think we can maybe create more or make more chances.
02:07But look, we're back to back wins tonight, which for us is great, keeps us in a strong position and
02:14you know up to 43 points.
02:16We'll start looking at the, the next number five if we can and see if we can get to that
02:21as quick as we can.
02:23David, you've had some incredible experiences away from home over the last few months, but just how good does it
02:28feel?
02:29How pleasing is it to be able to give those home fans a win again?
02:32Hey, I've just said a few times, it wasn't the biggest thing that bothered me at all.
02:36No.
02:36Because I think if you look through all the football clubs who moved to new stadiums, you'd see it.
02:42And the question has actually been a bit boring over, over recent weeks because I think actually the, we've actually
02:47played quite well here.
02:49Not one.
02:50And that's, that can happen in the Premier League.
02:54If we don't win, there'll be, there'll be some manager in the future and there'll be some great teams here
02:58hopefully.
02:59The supporters here will see some great Everton teams going forward and hopefully some, some teams that win trophies as
03:06well.
03:07We spoke yesterday about how important Tarkovsky is to this side.
03:10It was quite fitting in the captain, obviously got the goal, got the breakthrough.
03:14Yeah.
03:14Well, he's always getting stuck from me because he never scores.
03:17Is that right?
03:17So tonight he, tonight he got his goal and I think he's smiling at me because I'm, because I'm always
03:24on it.
03:24I'm saying, you know, you're not scoring enough goals.
03:26Yeah.
03:27I think to be really good centre-halves, centre-halves need to score goals.
03:30It has to be part of the, part of the job as well with the corners and free kicks nowadays.
03:36And so obviously Jared Bramford came off in the second half.
03:39Was, was he okay?
03:40It was okay.
03:41Yeah.
03:41Just, you know, it's probably a lot for Jared to go two games in the short time.
03:46So we just need to check, but it was a bit, a bit fatigued by the end Jared.
03:52And you've got a little bit of a break now into the next game.
03:53Just ask what your plans are and how useful this break is for that squad.
03:57Yeah.
03:57We're all going to Glasgow.
04:00Have you got a warm weather camp?
04:01Yeah.
04:02Warm weather training in Glasgow.
04:03So that sounds okay.
04:05Okay.
04:07Okay.
04:08Cheers.
04:08Cheers.
