00:09The State Department is now actively, as it has been now for the last 72 hours,
00:14implementing our plans to help Americans in the Middle East be able to depart.
00:18As of a few minutes ago before I left, 9,000 Americans have been able to leave the region
00:23since the start of this war.
00:24We have about 1,500 Americans that are requesting assistance with departure.
00:28We have identified and continue to identify charter flights, military flight options,
00:33and expanded commercial flight options, meaning working with the airlines to send bigger airplanes
00:38with more seats, and a combination of those three things.
00:41As I came in, I also saw the media reports about Dubai's consulate.
00:46The last update I had with seconds before getting before these cameras was that a drone, unfortunately,
00:51struck a parking lot adjacent to the chancellery building and then set off a fire in that place.
00:58All personnel are accounted for.
00:59As you're aware, we began drawing down personnel from our diplomatic facilities in advance of
01:05this.
01:05In the cases, for example, of Beirut, we basically drew down to bare bones as well as in Baghdad
01:14and in Erbil and in a couple other posts as well.
01:17So we've been very fortunate, obviously, but our embassies and our diplomatic facilities are
01:21under direct attack from a terroristic regime.
01:25Rest assured, we are confident that we are going to be able to assist every American.
01:28As I told you right now, we have about a little over 1,500, maybe closer to 1,600 Americans
01:34requesting assistance, and we know that we're going to be able to help them.
01:37It's going to take a little time because we don't control the airspace closures.
01:40That said, there may be more people out there that need help.
01:43We need to know who you are.
01:44So please, I'm asking the media, publicize the phone numbers and the website because we
01:48need people to call in so we have their name, we have their contact information, we have
01:52their location, and their request.
01:54So as these opportunities begin to open up, we can act very quickly to reach them and
01:58get them out of harm's way.
