00:00Amidst the ongoing tension in the Middle East, leaving families of overseas
00:03Filipino workers or OFWs worried and anxious on what may happen to their
00:08loved ones, the Department of Information and Communications Technology or DICT
00:13Region 11 has announced a 24-hour communication assistance program for
00:17them. DICT 11 Regional Director Eva May De La Rosa said that their office is
00:23offering free use of computers, laptops and internet access to families who are
00:28having difficulty contacting their relatives abroad. The assistance is
00:33available at the DICT 11 main office in Davao City as well as Indigos City, Tagum
00:39City, Davao de Oro, Mati City and Malita, Davao Occidental. The program will
00:43continue for as long as tensions in the Middle East persist. Connectivity
00:47assistance is also available in other DICT offices in Ilocos Region, Region 2 and
00:53Region 3.
