African airlines suspend flights to Middle East as U.S.-Iran tensions escalate
Transcript
00:04The situation here at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi is business as usual you
00:12could say that at least from the outside we've not seen any passengers who are stranded or
00:19affected by any flight disruptions we do know there are there and possibly there are inside
00:25but part of the reason for that is because a lot of the airlines that had scheduled flights to the
00:31impacted countries have kept a line of communication open with their passengers informing keeping them
00:39up to date of the latest situation and informing them of what routes will be opened when they'll
00:47be able to fly and basically telling others to keep the lines of communication open with the
00:53airlines as well so that's one of the reasons however we're not sure what the situation is
00:58inside the terminals itself we did see from some social media posts yesterday that there
01:07were some people stranded as a result of the flight disruptions but the airlines they were in
01:12communication with their airlines waiting for the airspace over a number of countries over the Middle
01:18airlines to be open before they could then fly out so that is the situation at this particular moment
